Oni's power

Can someone explain how Oni's power works exactly once he first collects enough blood orbs to activate Blood Fury. He gets it for a limited duration right?

Does he not have to collect further blood orbs to recharge & use Blood Fury again?

    Oni main here.

his power is activated by blood orbs dropped by injured survivors.

his power has a timer that drains slowly while not using abilities, drains a little faster while demon dashing, and drops a bit more when he downs a survivor.

oni will lose his power either once the power bar is empty, or he picks a survivor up (power bar stops there)

oni must continue to pick up blood orbs to rebuild power bar. Oni cannot be stunned out of his power.

    hopefully this answers your questions!

    Thanks for your response.

How long do blood orbs remain in the environment once dropped?

I had a match where it had been around 5 minutes since anyone had been injured & the Oni was constantly using his power to demon dash around the map during that time.

Once dropped, they are there for the whole match until oni uses them. Oni gets about half his power from the hit that injures a survivor. I typically hit and run, and let survivors bleed all over the map as it leaves little power banks for me. The key to countering oni is avoid injury at all cost at start. Predrop pallets. Heal. And when he pops his power, it’s best to just hide.

Yeah, as soon as I know it's Oni I don't hesitate fleeing upon seeing or hearing his terror radius. Can't say the same for other solo q survivors, as you'll probably enjoy 😉

See you’re the smart survivors I ignore. 😂 But you would be surprised how many people just hand out the free hits waiting for the last second to start running away. Then they don’t heal and I have my power all game. It’s too funny. When I’m SWFing with the boys, as soon as oni goes into power, we all hit the lockers! Lolol

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Oni is bugged right now. Something to do with blood orbs and being able to demon dash more than often

Shush, that bug does not exist. The council of Onis has decided that survivor drop just the right amount of blood while vaulting and not one bit too much. We do not speak about this...

Oni is a bit of an IQ check for the team, sadly it is a team effort and you loose once your teammate gets hit. Nothing annoys me more than survivors who try to stall my power by predroping, taking no risk and hide once I go Demon Mode. And I as a survivor like nothing more than to show an Oni player just where he can not get me and outrun him, a little mini game if I understand my Killer well enough to wast his entire power...
