Pls let us see the killers connection before the match starts
There are way too many chinese vpn users in your game now and they are using this as a boost to their account. I am in Southern cali and even tho the servers are dedicated my frame rate drops whenever I am close to either a survivor or killer using this tactic. Its going to kill your game if you guys dont find a remedy of some kind because not everyone knows about the behind the scenes and what it takes to keep a connection stable. My guess is these players are using this tactic to boost thier account mmr up and then reselling it on some 3rd party website. It is just becoming so common now that it makes your game almost unplayable at certain hours. I wish the ping of each player was visible in the lobby before the match starts so we could dip out if a player was using a vpn for instance. There really must be someway to combat this type of cheat and its been getting worse ever since this last patch.

I mean we cant even see other survivors ping until a match has started the only metric I unfortunately can use is if I see blocks for their name which is still a pretty lousy way to do it.

This suggestion has been made several times already, in the suggestion part of the forum. Didn't seem to get much traction though.
I don't see any downside giving the killer ping, as well as the survivor's in the lobby.
Too many matches against high pings, killer or survivor. It's just a PITA.

That's a reasonable hypothesis but ... preventing dodging bad connections? I perfectly understand for SWFs, killer types, ... but that one wouldn't feel very fair to me. Last time I got shot by a hatchet landing 5m from me with a "blinking" Huntress, I would have loved to know its ping.

Ranged killers have projectiles that are checked by the server? I think it's more of bad netcode than it is anything else, and remember, DbD has been having issues with their servers for awhile, I mean, look at the mass rubberbanding issue.

Whatever the reason is the game has definately become a lot more unplayable this last patch I really hope they do a netcode patch rather than just more balancing and dlc updates and that rubberbanding rarely happens to me but I know it exists. I just made this post so that they could start formulating a plan and be aware of the issue. Its especially bad tho around 2:30 am to 6am which is probably their afternoon or somesuch. Its just I never see chinese players at any other time
