Some Constructive Criticism

Hello community!,I hope you are all doing all right!

Before starting,I would like to say that,even if I'm not an active member (with posts and all),I still check the forum daily (while being logged out) and I read a lot about the people opinions on the matter,just to clarify that I'm not a new player/community member and I've been around for a while. (Also I'm a killer main,just for extra info)

That said,I want to talk about the general game situation,because,I think currently,there are some urgent things that needs to be discussed about.

It is indoubt,that recently,the developers,have been working hard on dbd to make a lot of changes for the better (Meta perks being boring and stale,general balance etc).

The problem is (and this can be confirmed by a lot of people here as I saw),that the recent changes have made a good portion of the playerbase unhappy.

There surely is something wrong here because,since the last changes,I have been noticing a lot of people giving up in my trials,the disconnections numbers have basically triplicated and as a killer it takes now 5,to 10,to 15 minutes to find a match.

I think,that the game,currently,is very unwelcoming for a certain part of the playerbase (Mainly for the new players).

The sbmm (skill based matchmaking) is terribly unprecise and wrong,no matter your skill rate ( I don't know on what is based upon),you will get paired against players of any type randomly.

A player with 5 hours could get paired against a player with 5000+ hours and viceversa (on both roles),this adds a tremendous frustration value as this would seem unfair and a waste of time.

Linked to this,I would like to talk about the situtation of solo queue survivors,wich,currently,in my opinion,are the most unhappy players.

Little,to no attention at all,was given to them,the (already present) balance problems wich afflicted these players have doubled since the new changes as the killers got stronger,with better base value power ups etc.

the main problem of the solo survivors still remains,the lack of informations.

It's true,there are perks that survivors can use as info,but,the fact that a player is forced to bring some perks (wich consumes precious perk slots by the way) to get some forced balance in game,is unacceptable (And this is true for both the roles killers and survivors),basically,a solo player feels punished for not having friends to play with (wich would make the absence of informations trivial because of comunications),this is not fun and creates frustrating experiences wich leads to disconnections,rage etc.

Linked to this,again,let's talk about the swfs teams (survive with friends).

The current big game patch have nerfed them a bit,as perks were balanced so was their meta.

The question is that,I think not much have changed for them,they are still very powerful (in an unbalanced way).

Their meta was nerfed yes,but there's already another one wich soon will replace the old one,I'm talking about the gen rushing meta.

With the solo survivors players being less and less,these teams are becoming more and more frequent to find,and let me say it,it's not a pleasant experience either to find them.

They are still capable of completing their objective (generators) in less than 5 minutes (even with pressure),making the games not fun at all for the killers,wich are forced to bring always the most stronger perks/add ons or to camp and tunnel to assure at least some points and kills.

Speaking of killers,it's true,they got buffed,they got some perks revamped,changed,nerfed etc but the core problem remains,even here,on this role.

Plaiyng killer,is still an hard experience,the amount of efforts it takes to play this role compared to the other is still overwhelming.

As said before,killers are still forced to always bring the most powerful stuff,they are forced to use the most boring tactics to assure some wins.

Most of the killers roster is still undeniably weak and unviable compared to some of the top tier ones.

Maps are still unbalanced,there are still too many safe loops,too many pallets,windows etc.

What I'm trying to say,is that all is linked together,if there is so much negativity around the community,is all because of these problems,wich are still lingering since the game release.

I hope,that with this longpost,I enlighted all the major problems this game have,speaking for everyone,because it is a beautiful game and it's a shame to still see it like this.

One last thing I would like to mention,is the constant raising presence menace of cheating players.

Once again,they are starting to become more and more numerous,please,take immediate action against them.

The game is already problematic as it is now,the cheaters cannot be tolerated.
