Solution to SoloQ problems
The main problem of DBD is that there are two completely different games: SoloQ vs. Killer and SFW vs. Killer. Communication is such an important factor that it's impossible to balance the game for both gamemodes. But you can't nerf SFW without nerfing SoloQ. So the solution is to make SoloQ as close to SFW as possible. Since the main difference between both gamemodes is communication, these are my ideas:
1) Make Kindred Basekit. As you know, SFW teams can know if the killer is camping, and can coordinate the save. This counters camping so hard it's not viable. SoloQ can't do this, because they don't know if the killer is camping, and they don't know if someone is going for the save, so they can't counter camping by doing gens.
2) Add a mini Empathy to Basekit. SFW can talk to each other if they are injured, and coordinate heals. SoloQ players should see injured survivors within a 16 meters radius (maybe a bit more), so they can heal each other more consistently.
3) Add action icons. SFW players know who is repairing, who is being chased, who is healing, etc. SoloQ players don't. The solution: add icons to each action so SoloQ players know what their team is doing.
4) Add quick chat communication. You should be able to communicate with your teammates to coordinate plays. This quickchat should be global.
5) Allow SoloQ players to see each other perks before the game. This way, you can coordinate with your team, like SFW does. One can have a reparation build, another a rescue build, etc. This way you can let your teammates do their job, which they brought perks for, and they let you do your job. Of course, this means you need longer preparation time before the game, so you can discuss the perks with your team (maybe 2-3 minutes). This way, altruist perks will be more useful in SoloQ.
6) Reform BP system and emblem system. If all of the above is implemented, maybe someone focuses on repairing all game, and it would make no sense for him to get limited BP or to not pip just because there is a cap on each category. Right now, the system incentives players to do everything, the proposed changes will make players divide the work, so there shouldn't be a cap on each section (or, at least, the cap should be higher).
7) Adjust killers. If all of the above is implemented, the devs will finally be able to balance the game around the two gamemodes, since both will be almost equal. That way, we can start to actually see if killers are weak or strong overall, and apply the nerfs/buffs correctly.
In conclusion, the only way to balance the game is to make SoloQ and SFW stand equally, and the only way to do that is to give SoloQ the same tool SFW has: communication.

The thing is, VHS has so many Tools that help you with all of this Stuff. You get so much Information. But the difference between playing Solo and with Friends is till so Huge.
I learned that after playing VHS a lot since its Official release. It wasnt as big in the Betas since there were less players so you would run into the same People again and again and there was way more Communication between Players.
I have talked to a lot of People who stopped playing DBD and it all comes down to the same thing: MMR
since the introduction of MMR Games have just gone from Casual Fun to playing as efficient as Possible on Both Sides. The Fact that you didnt go against Good Players every Match made the Games more relaxing and not so Stressfull. But since MMRs Introduction playing well is just punished with getting "better" Opponents and thus making you Sweat harder and harder every Match.
I want DBD to bring another Casual Gamemode in wich you get paired with Random Players for a quick Que not looking at any of your Stats.
And then Ask after every Match how fun it was. Then Compare Both the current MMR and the Casual Gamemode in therms of Fun against each other.
Sure. DBD is not gonna be as beginner friendly. But at least its fun. And thats what Games are for: having Fun. I dont wanna come Home after Work and do a second Job. I just want to play some Casual Rounds.

I don't have a problem with these changes but they also aren't going to significantly fix solo q. You can't information-buff bad survivors into good survivors.

Yeah I forgot about MMR. That's a problem on its own, though. I think this changes will be good regardless of MMR. Of course, they would be better if there were separate casual and ranked gamemodes (and tweaking how MMR works in ranked).
That's true, but it's a matchmaking issue related to MMR. But I think these changes will be good at any case (obviously, they would be better if they also fixed MMR).
