Idea about selling blood points

Ive been looking around the communities and have seen posts about how hard it is for new players to collect perks when they don't have any base perks to start with.

collecting blood points usually take a lot of time, especially when you just started the game.

I understand that collecting blood points and perks is one of the ways to enjoy the game. Yet I also think some players want to play a fair game with perks equivalent to others.

buying perks with iridescent shards also takes time and it is not a garanted that the perk will appear on the shrine of secrets.

I think it might be a good idea to sell blood points for new players to give them option of spending less time to get perks. It may need some adjustment for buyers to fully enjoy the game, for instance having a limit every month to purchase blood points.

Also, I think buying a DLC should give the players some amount of blood points to start the character. Because the performance of the character may differ according to the perk the character own, buying a DLC character with out enough perks is equivalent of buying a half functioning character. It should help new comers to start the game as they try to catch up with the core players.

In conclusion, I think there needs to be an option for the newcomer to take less time to catch up with the core players and being able to play a fair match with them.

Hard disagree (unless it's for iri shards).

Having the perks start at tier 3 on characters and reducing the bloodwebs costs in general by like 1k would do the trick.

One of the things I've always agreed with that BHVR don't do is sell progression currency packs, i.e. bloodpoints because typically when businesses do that, they generally want to starve their core non-paying audience of said currency to encourage them or incentivise them to pay for the packs.

I agree that the starting user experience is quite overwhelming with choices to prestige at the moment, but I'd rather they, personally, just improve Bloodpoint gains across the board with some form of basekit game mechanic that doubles bloodpoints on both sides, or/and other methods. I understand they've cut the perk grind down for players who've played for a chunk of time, but there's lots of optional goals that people can still go for that are fairly bloodpoint heavy like getting to P9/P100 so I think people will still always WANT bloodpoints even when they've got all their perks.

Id say it takes roughly around 1.5M to lv up a character and get to lv1 prestige. Lets say each game a survivor will earn around 20k and killer will earn around 25k saying you can get 2 kills. To gain 1 prestige, the killer would need to play around 60 games to earn 1.5M. lets make that 25 games saying the player got the new bonus BP / daily rituals / rift challenges, that still makes around 8 hrs of game play. It will take 32 hours of pure game play just to start giving BP to the killer of your choice. This is assumed the player made the most effecient choice earn BP. The actual time would be much more than 32 hrs.

In a pvp game, I think the most important value is being fair. At least the players should start the game with similar level of perks. Im suggesting there needs to be a way of boosting the new users to stick in to the game. I think devs have lower down the bars for intermediate players, yet made it more hard for the beginners.

Id agree that DBD is a good game that doesn't bait the users into spending money by starving new users for perks. Yet, there should be a way to encourage the new users to stick with the game. Im saying that option can be selling BP.

I totally agree with both comments either lowering the blood web cost or getting extra BP bonus can be a solution. Thogh, I think the solution should benifit more towards new users than the core users.

No, selling progression is really never a good idea unless you want money.

What should happen is an extreme decrease in grind.

Every character should have their 3 teachables unlocked on t3 from the get go, all 4 perk slots should be available from the start and the bloodpoint gain should be increased overall. Survivor point gains are atrocious.

They could add a newcomer bonus that increases BP gains by 100% - 200% for the first 50 games in each role.

They could add BP into the free track of the Rift.

They could give you BP for each Rift Fragment after you have completed the Rift.

They could make Bloodwebs cheaper by making them smaller and filling them with less useless stuff.

They could buff all the worthless BP offerings.

They could make it so after you complete a daily ritual you just instantly get a new daily so you can get infinite dailies a day.

They could make teachables in the shrine cheaper.

They could award BP for every level increase.

They could add a daily login.

There are a lot of options to increase BP gain that arent "use your money". This is not a gacha game, nor should it be p2w.
