- Heavy Panting - increased the blink duration by 20%
- this keeps the speed the Nurse blinks at, a consistent speed with or without addons

Nurse needs complete rework, because at the direction where the game goes she's extremely unhealthy part of it. With certain add ons and perks she basically can't lose and those games are too often. The only reason I don't blame people who dc and rage quite is when playing against Nurse, because she's simply unfair and boring to go against.

When they initially nerfed Nurse (adding that whole recharge mechanic) I thought they would get rid of range because of how unhealthy "Omega Blink" was. They didn't, range was still there but it didn't add anything else except range, and all of a sudden her speed was increased which for some reason was stated to be intended even though it initially didn't give her more speed.
Glad it is fixed now, as they might've realized that it was indeed not intended.

One of the aspect of Omega Blink nurse that did get removed when they nerfed nurse with the recharge mechanic was they made it so she had to charge longer to go longer distances. Before range addons made it so you could blink further and faster while charging less.

Solves the main issue. After every big size map size is shrunken down, range add-ons can be reworked entirely. Also Torn Bookmark. And then she’ll be completely fine. Her basekit is balanced, it’s just those 3 add-ons are problematic.

I know they nerfed Omega blink, but because of how it was hated I thought it would get removed completely.

I hope to see:
- Make any attack where she uses 2 or more blinks count as a special attack.
- Make it so if she blinks through a falling pallet she gets intercepted and pallet stunned.
- Make it so that if she gets hit with a pallet during her fatigue the fatigue is interrupted and she gets pallet stunned.
I'd like to see where she stands with these tweaks before she gets a full rework.

changes nothing, just makes recharge add-on's superior and range add-ons completely useless. worse then base-kit nurse.

- This would be inconsistent with other killers that have powers that are movement (with the exception of blight) should Wraith, onroyo, clown, and various others also count as special attacks when they use their power?
- This already happens actually, it's just extremely hard to time.
- This doesn't do what you think it does, fatigue duration is longer than pallet stun, as a nurse main i prefer if i get pallet stunned when it bugs out sometimes because i don't get my camera sent downward and can stay looking at the survivor and be stunned for less time.

These changes will make the "bad" nurses play something else. But the good nurses will still stomp people's face in.
Here is a video of Hens stomping very good survivors with near perfect play on nurse with no addons or perks.

I do not agree. Bad nurses do not rely on distance addons. Those aren't the addosn that help bad nurses. The bad addons help bad nurses.
Like the flanel and the addon that make the nurse fast after a hit but removes the ability to blink, allowing her to down with 1 blink and 1 chase instead of 2 blinks.

It’s not inconsistent with other killers, Blight already has this and now Wesker will too.
Blight and Wesker are much closer in power to Nurse the Clown and Onryo.
The 3 killers you mentioned gain an increase to their movement speed ONLY. They function as a normal killer in every other way.
Nurse and Blight, however, don’t. While in their speed boost, they function differently. Their turning abilities are severely reduced for instance. They don’t just gain a movement speed boost like the other 3, they behave completely differently. If you want consistency, then Nurse SHOULD be changed.
And if Blight can do fine without instadowns, so can Nurse.

That nobody really talked about this shows that it is not even close to be enough. Nurse needs a full Rework, not some meaningless Nerfs which will just result in the Devs waiting months or years before they do anything about her.

the faster blinking needed to be nerfed, nurse is already too strong and faster blinking gives you even less time to react for any type of unpredictable movement, so it is good that it will be nerfed.
And actually this is not a nerf but a bugfix. When she got her addon pass, she had no faster blinking with these addons, that effect accidentially returned on a later patch
which was actually super bad bcause it f##### up your muscle memory, as the "dot" you would see with the flannel was moving faster than normal. So OP as long as you use it, but you get back to baby state when you ever run out of these addons. But anyway, good they are gone. Since the chain blink window is limiting the second blink and therefore the addons only affect the very first blink, this is then basically just an addon for better mobility, but not for better chase. So this is nice to have

Although her speed increase does make a big difference but i agree that her blinks counting as M1 is the main issue here.
With the increasing number of instadown perks (Starstuck yes) and aura revealing perks, it's a joke.
I can't wait to see the nurse with starstruck and that new Wesker's perk that reveals survivors when picking up a downed one. Imagine this combo (Starstruck combined with ability to see survivors around you after picking up then having infectious fright, oh dear). With good nurses, i can safely say that games can end in less than 2-3 minutes.

I actually mentioned it...anyway, this is a nerf in exactly the right way. While the nurse is travelling is when the survivor has a chance to change direction or break line of site. Increasing the duration of travel allows this.
I'm not sure this will be enough but it is for sure a good start.

Very good survivors ? I have faced better survivors than that in my games ... and I am neither a competitive nurse nor a nurse with the best MMR ... 😂
And otherwise, I invite those who say the nurse needs extra big nerves, to show us videos of them playing against her 😉

Best part is that after the announcment of nerfing the range addons of nurse, the mob instantly swapped to pinhead.

I never needed that perk to finish a game in two minutes. Clueless survivors do it just fine. (My record must be around 90 seconds. Four guys on a gen above the basement, me popping in game almost at blink range, a grab, Starstruck hit, chaos and sandbagging ensure while I drop my grab and then two downs one of them simply walking.
That being said, it has already been shown it will be easy to handle.

Although having a laugh would be nice, I'm more interested in seeing their Nurse plays, after the next update. (That range speed adjustment should make her a tad more difficult to use by some.)

The muscle memory* itself shouldn't be affected, but the rhythm will be. Nothing that a few matches can't fix. Although, you are right. Since it takes more time to reach them the landing spot will have to be adjusted. (And will be more difficult since they have more time to react)
Before the last change, I used double cooldown whenever I really wanted to win. (Not a guarantee but helps against survivors who know how to play)

In fact, if I'm not talking nonsense, the addons, as they will be after this update, will be as they were some time ago; nurses will have no trouble adapting, since that's how it was in the past 🤗
There is a double benefit to the fact that range addons no longer increase speed.
First, it will allow the nurse to have a better grasp of his environment, during the tp, as it will go slower than currently 😉
2, it will allow the survivors to have more time to get to safety, and prepare their escape 😏

The nurse is fine the way she is, more specifically, the way she will be once the range addons no longer speed up her tp.
After that, if you don't like a killer, you're free to play another game, right 😏

3: The addon change lowers Nurse’s map traversal speed, which encourages her to proxy camp more, and proxy camping is more reliable than leaving a hooked survivor to patrol generators.

Not significantly. The biggest issue was the smaller reaction time allowed for survivors in a chase.
"We" have been dancing around this issue for a while but even now, I know I don't need the range addon, if I agree to play very unpleasantly that is. (A few tactics, boring for both sides, in the real sense of "boring" for once.)

Its not bug, its how the code works.
She doesnt have blink speed, but a blink always takes 2sec. So by default or with addon, 30m or 40m, it will always take 2sec, explaining the speed increased.
This happens to Spirit's addon, where longer phase addon also has fast recharge.
She phases for 5sec, recharge 15sec. Normally if she phase for 3sec, she needs 9sec recharging
- With fast recharge (lets say x2 faster), she needs 4.5sec recharging
- With longer phase (lets say she can phase 10sec), means if you phase 3sec, you only use 30% of power. Means you needs 4.5sec recharging

No, honestly, even after the maj, the range addons will still be very useful to the nurse. Only bad players would need to camp because of this.

The big issue survivors complained about was the shorter blinks. But it is a noticeable nerf to her sustained map traversal speed, because it will take her longer to charge the max blinks.
”We” also haven’t been dancing around this. If you don’t think it will affect how you play, then that’s good for you, but I certainly will not be patrolling the map as much anymore, and I will feel zero pity for survivors for my increased proxy camping.

The core issue was range addons were also increasing her blink speed. That has been changed to no longer get double benefit for running an already strong addon on Nurse.

Yes. And the increased blink speed made her sustained map traversal speed better, which was a very good quality of life for Nurse patrolling large maps outside of chases.
