Why do all huntress players play the same?
Literally 95% of you guys hard face camp every single hook at five gens. If not that, then it’s a prox with hard tunneling. 😂 I rarely get a huntress that doesn’t play like that.
also seem to be the saltiest killers out there.. god forbid you stun them once. 😂

Yay, five-percenter!!

Don’t ever change, we love you.
6 -
Normally it's just a low mmr thing and I have no clue if it's a huntress thing
3 -
They're not camping. They're "reloading".
5 -
If you think they're bad now you should've seen them back before the iridescent hatchet change. They would camp and slug knowing that if anyone tried to save them they could easily instant down anyone. The camping and tunneling has long gotten old though.
2 -
The Huntress players that annoy me are the ones that miss multiple hatchets in a row so they chase you until they're breathing down your neck and then they can finally land a throw. Like just basic attack me at that point.
Idk why it annoys me so much.
3 -
Yush im rare i belong to 5%!!
2 -
Because it's Huntress? She is not Blight that can run around and pressure gens all day. Slow killers needs to be where survivors are it's only natural that they are more territorial.
3 -
Because huntress is extremely, extremely good at proxy camping.
Its probably her most efficient play.
3 -
There's a practical reason for that. If you hit someone with a hatchet, it's like STBFL x10, so it's better in every way compared to just M1ing.
4 -
I agree. She's insufferable to play against not only because of crappy hitbox but because they always camp and tunnel.
1 -
Lol it's true. I can honestly say that camping and tunnelling is not something I frequently face, but every time I spawn in and hear her Lullaby i know not to get caught first lol I don't even feel that way about Bubba - I can't remember the last time I saw a camping or tunnelling Bubba
3 -
Because it works the best.
You are a 4,4m/s killer, so it doesnt make any sense to walk around on most maps, because they are too big for such a slow-moving killer.
For example Blight can run down the whole map quickly. With Sadako, Dredge, Freddy or Demo, you can teleport to pressure other parts of the map easier than walking around like an old lady with only 4,4m/s
1 -
I had a Huntress camp the basement at 5 gens too on Wreckers yard which is a pretty open map so it’s good for her. She didn’t seem like a bad Huntress either so why not chase us so we can have fun too?
They really need to do something about facecamping because it ruins the experience for everyone. I just DC’ed and stopped playing, I’ve had too many campers in a single day
2 -
I disagree. Sure it works, but it’s not best. I’m a killer main, I main blight but I rotate the killers pretty evenly. I have never camped with a 4.4 killer and I did just fine. Usually a 3k with a hatch escape. The huntresses that camped off the rip last night, we just did all the gens and got 3 out. It might work against bad solo players.. but that’s about it.
2 -
because she's one of the strongest proxy campers in the game

Bubba's usually play very fair I have seen one facecamping bubba in last 4 months but I didn't even play that game as I let my friend play.
2 -
Yeah I find chasing to be usually better tactics than camping. Goid players will just finish gens but getting one out is still good play but usually it's better not force it. For example hook survivor A then B then A again, then C and then finish A if you have good chance.
0 -
It’s always the ones that wear rift recolors too.
0 -
Never made that experience. In my experience, there are other killers that camp more often. Bubba being number 1, for obvious reasons. Though Huntress camping isn't a rarity for me either, her camping potential is sadly also really strong.
But to be fair, I have seen a post like this made about all kinds of killers already.

5% gang rise up!

I honestly feel her m2 should get the same treatment as artist, m2 into m1 standing ontop of the hook is the problem I feel. I don't mind so much her proxy camping as that's more of a map design problem.
1 -
Oh I'm sorry there is a locker right beside me, god forbid I'm being considered "facecamping" while I reload and walk away from the hook
0 -
Literally one of her perks is called "territorial imperative" lol
0 -
It's not like you would recognize me not tunneling and camping, probably just run away spamming ggez in chat than leaving
0 -
What games are you guys playing? Jeez, I want them, lol
0 -
Yeah, sure, that's what you're doing. You're "reloading", maybe "breaking a few pallets" around the hook, and then "walking away from the hook" (definitely without just aiming a hatchet directly at the hook).
2 -
... I'm not, I'm reloading, and going to pressure another gen I KNOW, AMAZING, BUT WE ACTUALLY EXIST
2 -
sorry thats low mmr man, i havent found many huntresses like that unless i play with my classmates who are newbies. but if its any consolation i dont play like that either XD

how does it make no sense? you know why huntress ranks higher than trickster so much or even deathslinger? she has pressure XD, she is slow and has to have more skill then a trickster and is more lethal than a deathslinger, deathslinger has a quickscope and trickster just gets free downs by walking around loops. but huntress can lob hatchets which scares survivors making them play cautiously which saves YOU time, she can pressure hooks just by being in line of sight and holding a hatchet. you see 2 survs working on a gen across map and the other survivort nowhere with bbq so you camp? well then yeah you can make that work but you can pressure 2 survivors off the gen, lets see they are in killer shack. hit one as you come in and they scatter and then you hit the other or even down the first then you can slug and chase the 2nd survivor and down them because the other dude is slugged in a corner and 2 survs healing after unhook. free 2 hooks as long as youre good. huntress is a pressure machine when played properly and if you have enough skill. she can slug 3 people within 1 minute from full health depending on situation or a whole time without reloading if they are injured. if your opinion is huntress has no pressure because she is slow then youre wrong. huntress has a very unique power with lots of uses and has physical and mental effects on a survivor. sorry but if a trickster or a deathslinger is coming back to hook from 32 meters away ill save your life, but if its a huntress who knows her shots you can guarantee its not a free save.

Huntress has already slow gameplay, need a buff of her speed after shooting to be basekit, she is not the way you paint her, focus on not being on a bad mindset.
0 -
ummmmmm did you or did you not say its pointless to walk her slow ass across map due to pressure XD
1 -
nah huntress is actually really balanced. if she could move faster while winding she would be broken, she could literally do the trickster treatment after every loop and if you buff her cooldown or movement speed then you make her s tier, she is already A tier killer when played properly.
0 -
but the thing is, she had pressure regardless of that level of skill, just throwing hatchets is enough to pressure, and make people move and crouch. also who is spooky
0 -
Not a fan of the hit you after you get around the corner hit boxes but can't say i've come across many camping / tunneling ones recently.
(Nemesis on the other hand!)
Had a hunteress take pitty on my salior steve other day she'd pinned me in a dead end (not such a good hiding place it turned out) raised her hatchet as I crouched looking up at her gave it about 30 seconds & decided we could all do last 3 gens & leave. That was after a really early petty DC though but I appreciated it all the same.
0 -
No, she needs this addon to be basekit. Trickster needs his shoes to be basekit, the green addon of speed, huntress dont need but he needs, focus on it.
0 -
what add on? walking speed with weapon? cooldown? or wind up?
0 -
Agreed. They get a bad rep but in general I enjoy going against a bubba
0 -
Faster cooldown
0 -
Not trying to be rude but I think most of these "Why does every killer camp/tunnel?" posts are people who aren't very good at the game and are being matched with killers who aren't very good at the game. It is like a bronze LoL player complaining their bronze league teammates aren't good.
0 -
I mean I usually run around them and they spend several seconds lining up their shot because they're not confident, sometimes they even miss again. So they're not really saving any time.
0 -
Lol I mean I’m irid 1 both surv & killer with 4.5k hours. I don’t think that’s the issue. I’m plenty good at the game.
And I’m not complaining.. just think it’s funny that all huntresses play the same. 😂
1 -
Tricksters and deathslingers camp a lot too especially tricksters, it's a 4,4ms thing if game is not going well you're forced to camp
0 -
Because they couldn't get the dopamine they wanted in CS:GO where the playing field is levelled, so they use DBD to win with obnoxiously powerful strategies more than half the playerbase can't really deal with.
1 -
Interesting. This wasn't what I was expecting. I feel like every huntress I've played against has the exact same build with at least bbq and iron maiden and iri head add on or something with mangled, exhaustion, aura reading, whatever. They're not doing anything wrong but when it's with that much frequency it's time to start making changes.
I do agree with them having temper tantrums if they miss at a pallet too. Again, EVERY huntress does the same thing at every pallet.
0 -
Literally I'll take high ground and just chuck hatchets all game. If I get lucky, on the last gen survivors line up like a row of ducks going back and forth between things like a carnival shooting game.
0 -
Same reason you see similar playstyles/load outs on most killers (or even survivors). Someone makes a YouTube video, people watch it and copy OR it happened to them while they were survivor and when they play killer they copied.
0 -
Whether or not they are able to execute, hitting with a hatchet first from close range allows you to follow up with a second hit much faster. Like way faster than most other killers are able to get a second hit. If you hit with M1 it is the complete opposite. The survivor will be able to make it to a "safe" area or get away entirely in many cases.
