Can anyone explain this strange Nurse behavior?
Whenever I watch certain streamers play Nurse, they do this thing where they carefully aim their blink, and then upon releasing the blink, they immediately start whipping their mouse around all over the place, before stopping in order to actually aim at the survivor to hit them. I can't for the life of me figure out why people keep doing this. It's not something the survivors even see, and they're only doing it after already aiming and releasing the blink in the first place. It seems to serve no purpose other than making viewers sick.

Helps the Nurse check around the map to see other things while on the way there.

You can look around a bit, but generally it is better to look up before you release it so that you make sure you don't accidentally like blink in the basement or some lower level. of the map.

I sincerely doubt they can parse any usable information from wildly jerking the mouse in random directions for a second.

They just do it to look good. Just like some streamers as survivors look back and forth with their camera constantly and rapidly to make it look like they are good when that isn't really needed and isn't giving them any extra info

Yea because multiple level maps are a hindrance to nurse at times, I can't count how many times I try to blink forward and somehow I go into the basement or first floor of a map. Thats why I run the plad all the time because I can't get that muscle memory every nurse player says they get with her.

Oh cmon the blink muscle memory comes naturally after like 5 games. 10 max

There is another wildly swinging thing you can do. Might be that.
After blinking on a survivor you can attack and then turn sharply to get the hit in. You can even start the attack and turn 180 degrees and get a hit or wildly swing if you know survivor is close by but have no idea where.
Or ot might be style points lol

Not for me I can't get that muscle memory everyone speaks of. Without Plad my "hit" rate of blinks is below 30% with it I'm about 50%

I would suggest loading into a game just to practice going from tree to tree and then from an open position to a cluster etc. Practicing for a few games while ignoring survivors really helped me at the start but im guessing you probably tried that.

You want the camera to be pointed up slightly to make sure you don't cut your blink off. And sometimes I'll flick my blinks to obscure my target if I think the survivor is actually paying attention to me and not just charging forward with their head down. Anything is else is performance without a ton of benefit, more or less

I suppose it's the same reason some survivors flail their camera around when hitting a window or dropping a pallet. Just to look flashy.

...cause I'll tell you right now I don't stream and I don't post my clips on youtube. I look back and forth at the killer to make sure I have the distance I need to safely reach a window or pallet. If people find this impressive or cool, i'm done--this is just how you play the game.

Nurse is not hard dude. I don't want to be mean but come on. I learnt nurse in like three games. Just point and click.
