One of the apples has a caterpillar. One of the 6 leaves (not 5, 6) also has a hidden caterpillar. Look closely at the top leaf. You'll see it. And don't forget dear Aunt Sally.

Technically this problem isn't solvable.
The 2 apples + apple with caterpillar isn't a solveable equation as we don't know the value of either apple or apple with caterpillar.
The last equation introduces another variable with the stick with 6 leaves instead of 5.
I hate images like these, because they are intentionally designed to get people to find the wrong answer by being intentionally misleading.

I already said 30 and you said wrong.
You could say it canยดt be solved because the 6 leaf is not given. I only guess the 5 leafs means 5 and so 6 leafs mean 6.
And you could argue with the cp on the apple.
If the cp on the apple looks different i canยดt see that on the pic.

So 15 divided by 3 values is equal to 5. So Leaves = 5.
Caterpillar + Caterpillar + Caterpillar = 9
So 9 divided by 3 values is equal to 3. So Caterpillar = 3.
Apple + Apple with Caterpillar + Apple = 30
Now this is where things get tricky.
Within this, Apple with Caterpillar will always be an even value, since it cannot be a physical odd value, this is because there are two Apples which will always add up, rather even or odd, to an even value. The possible range for Apple with Caterpillar is 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, and 28. The possible range for Apple is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14.
So for Apple with Caterpillar + Leaves * Caterpillar to work, we would need to setup something a lot easier to manage, keep in mind, since there isnt really a direct answer to the question due to their being multiple ways of trying to solve, it can only be expressed without a real answer, using a variable in it's place.
X + (5 * 3) = Y or X + 15 = Y (Since the Order of Operations allows use to simplify it.)
{X = 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28}
{Y = 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, 41, 43}
The question is designed to look a lot easier than it really is, it still is really easy, just requires a tiny bit more effort put into it. It is basically a simple input/output function at it's core (but since I hate expressing things as f(x), I prefer to use X and Y since things are a lot easier for me to keep track of).

You would multiply the leaves and the caterpillar first, 5 x 3 is 15, the apple with a caterpillar is 12, so that makes 27 no?
