This is what the devs should do when releasing killers
Make the killer OP at the start but have backup code to apply a month later when they nerf the killer. Everyone will buy the killer cause he's insanly good and then just nerf a month later. The same can be done with perks. Make a perk really good (reassurance) and everyone will buy that survivor for it and then they gonna nerf the perk. Boom, pro marketing tactics 🤯. Now that I think about it, that's ecmxactly what they gonna do with reassurance.

One of the purposes of DLC in DBD is to fix problems with perks as bandaids.
Clown gave killers Bamboozle even though he doesn't really need that perk at all due to his vault mechanic. Instead of fixing the possibility of unfair tiles we get that perk instead.
Instead of addressing the problem of gen speeds vs chases at high level play (which is the root cause of camping) they gave survivors an abusive anti camping perk.

well they are trying to improve chases for killer. its just that 10% pallet breaking speed is not doing a whole lot against experienced loopers. ideally killers shouldn't be breaking pallets in first place. they should be winning pallets using their ability. if the killer is designed to break pallets to win the game, then killer better be breaking pallets at record speeds. on-hit does weaken med-kits and endurence(second chance) perks for non-mobile/non-instant down but only if the killer uses Myer's perk.
chases are improving but it would be more useful if killer power's were stronger instead.

It happened a few times already, probably not on purpose though.
The most notable one for me was Oni. Great killer for two weeks.
The next one will not follow that path though. It feels average, at best.

It sounds like youre both insisting that they should change the game mechanics to give you a competitive edge over players who have spent considerable time and effort becoming more skilled than you.

It's not even about skill, it's simple math. Even assuming the survivor runs in a completely straight line, doesn't use vaults, windows or pallets or anything like that. It'll still take the killer around 57 seconds to hit the survivor twice, pick them up and hook them.

Instead they release most of their stuff with safe numbers.
We should be grateful that BHVR does not constantly want to release OP stuff all the time for money. yes it would shake up the meta but the game would eventually spiral out of control.

That sets such a bad precedent. People already theorize that their plan is to release a killer strong, then nerf it once everyone's bought it. We don't need to encourage them to do that. Killers should be strong.
