DS Nerf = Less Slugs?
Anyone still running (and getting value) out of slug builds since the DS nerf?
I don't think I've seen a single killer respect DS post-patch 6.1.0. Seems like slug builds are dead for all but a few coordinated SWFs who want to brute force value out of it.

...isn't that a good thing? I thought people hated being slugged since it was forcing non-interaction upon them.

I've seen a few games where an unbreakable gets used. Slugging is now more for situations when a killer downs a survivor and see nearby survivors.

People hate everything. They hate being slugged. The hate being hooked. They hate it when killers respect DS. They hate it when killers don't respect DS. There's no way to play the game and appease everyone.

Its just especially ironic in a "killer buff strangely creating survivor QoL" kinda way. Its almost like healthy changes for the game improve both sides.

well your post kinda seemed to be bemoaning not being able to get value from builds specifically centered around anti-slugging, but if it was supposed to be celebratory, then we are in agreement :)

I have seen some insane survivors advocate for 8-10 second stun specially so they would get slugged.
Like ... why are you so boring.

If anything, The killer is more likely to slug survivors they don't have hook states on to focus out the ones who do

I think when people usually complain about slugging, it's either in the context of situations where the game functionally over and they just want to die, or in situations where the killer can effectively snowball and 4-slug instead of hooking people one by one (so basically the power burst killers, Twins, and Nurse.)
That said, people complain about everything. And slug builds were always risky as hell unless you were in a SWF and could be guaranteed your teammates would be distractions for you; there's only a few killers who are inclined to slug by default. It's why I've never run Unbreakable apart from when I had survivors with no good perks unlocked yet; it's great when it's relevant, but you're far less likely to need an anti-slug perk than an anti-camp or anti-tunnel one in your average game.
Killers having no reason to respect DS anymore is a separate problem, though. (Though I think a good deal of it is just killers no longer expecting DS by default. The ball's in OTR's park right now.)

I still slug to snowball pressure if I see another survivor close by.
But as survivor, most killers insta-pick up downed survivors. Slugging seems to really only happen when they're getting moisty and drippy for that 4k.

Killers are not slugging anymore because DS is dead perk. There is no reason for slug.
And no, this is not good thing. Killers are tunnelling for free now. And before you say, no OTR is not good perk. New DS is also garbage. This needs to change, old DS should back.

I see actually more slugs, especially for 4k.
I dont think its that good that they dont respect DS at all tbh.
Same thing applies to killers. Some killers think being good at chases is toxic.

True but I think slugging is lot more fair than camping and tunneling as stragedy.

Old ds was not always also enough strong it should be 2 time use as it's disabled after game. 3s ds should be basekit.

Only time I slug is against sabo/altruism squads, and DS has never been part of that equation for me.

I don't think anyone cares for being slugged on the ground if there is a purpose like waiting DS out. If killers can simply slug until the dying state timer is over, because they refused to pick anyone up, then I think we can assume the reason is to be a D.
Since the actual topic is about DS and not any other reason. We can assume that they don't respect DS because if 5 seconds wasn't going to stop them from continuing to tunnel, then 3 is definitely not.
