Remove (almost anything) is a bad idea. That is how you alienate players. That is literally why the Freddy rework was such an awful thing. It completely deleted a killer that people liked from existence.

LOFL. I'm totally with you OP. If this game is supposed to be fun in some way for both sides, Pinhead is the worst killer in the game by far in terms of fun to play against. Especially in solo where you cant coordinate who gets the box and when and some survivors still dont seem to understand how it works.

I don’t know why you think that’s even remotely relevant. Fun is subjective and others will find fun something others find unfun. That is why it’s irrelevant to balance. Don’t like it? Tough, get over it. If it’s balanced, it doesn’t matter. You cannot make something objectively "more fun" because fun itself is a subjective opinion. This game will never be fun for all 5 players always. Nor does it try to be, because that’s impossible regardless.
As for the point on solo queue, it’s almost like that means solo queue information should be buffed, not handicapping a killer who also has to play against non-solo.

I like pinhead--both playing as and against him.
What I can't stand are his most popular builds.
It feels like a chore playing against Pinheads that play around box-spawn and emphasize stall tactics over chase.

PvP games are much different than single player games. Different players are bound to dislike facing different characters especially in a rooster as big as dbds. Having a few bad pvp games here and there in a game that you generally find fun is not a big deal.

I actually really enjoy going against Pinhead. I love the killers who allow you to interact with an item in some way, The Pig with the reverse bear traps, The Onryo with the video tapes, Freddy with the alarm clocks... etc. In this instance, Pinhead with the puzzle cube... it makes the round feel much more interactable 🙂

I wouldn't even say thats needed. Pinhead ironically has one of the most information heavy powers in the game. You can see the box, you can see how far chain hunt is progressed at all times, you can see who is carrying the box, and you can even see when they are attempting to solve it. They already gave tons of information for his power for solos to silently coordinate with.
Edit: Since apparently there was some confusion, this is in regards to solo queue survivors getting information about his power for free, like the last sentence reiterates.

Pinhead only sees the box’s aura with a very rare add-on.

Pinhead does not see the aura of his box unless he's running an addon to do so, but that prevents starting the chain hunt from picking up the box.
