Should I return to playing any one know how to make it fun again after a long hiatus
So Id like some opinions and stuff about weather I should try to get back into dbd or just forget it all together. I know since the post is here on the dbd forum and not reddit or something it may be a bit bias but hey this forum is great. I used to play all the time but then fell off after the blight. there was just too much trash talk and... I'd say toxicity but some may say they were just doing what they were supposed to. And after so many matches of being very low tier no where near red or purple if get red ranked survivors and it was just stressful. So I stopped and I've played here and there I have a lot. Of them new licensed killers (killer main here and anyone who says survivor is too easy or is the stronger of the two, in my opinion is wrong. I play killer cus I'm no good at survivor). But the .matches recently have been just as frustrating if not more. And now I can't tell if they're just really good or high level or if I'm incompetent. Most of the times I get pairs with 4 swf teams which is annoying because you know for a fact thier communicating with eachother. I know they put out the new match making thing but just because when I was a regular player I was able to go against super good teams, doesn't mean I'd ati retain that ability for oh so many months. Specially with all the games I've played since. So how can I make this fun again. Should I even still play? Any body know what I'm feeling. Like it's just seems like they don't want to deal with some issues (like fixing red ranks being in matches with lower ranks and beating them easily) so they just took it off all together.

If you stopped play because SWFs, they are still exists. But playing killer feels better and more fun right now. Both sides lost their meta perks, both sides have new meta perks. But game feels more fair now.

Being straight I'd probably tell you to drop the game.
But, it's up to you. I've not been able to get back into the game. I just see the downsides and no upsides.
The game isn't any different besides a few base changes. Sure, it's not going to be super different, but the reason you stopped playing are still there.

Pick a killer than interests you or one you've always wanted to get better with. Go into matches with a learning mindset and focus more on your mechanics than getting kills. You'll feel better about the game as you improve, both with the killer and as a killer, and you'll feel a lot better when games don't go your way. Try not to let the BM or cocky survivors get to you, but that will always be infinitely easier said than done.

Play for hooks, not "wins" or kills. Have the mindset of just having a fun game for you and the survivors. Always let 1-2 go unless they are being jerks. Meme around a bit and be goofy from time to time. That's the mindset I switched to when I was getting frustrated and it worked great. Both sides usually have fun and get some BP. I haven't had a negative end game chat interaction in probably two months.
