Why doesn't Blastmine eat Pop Goes the Cookie?
Why doesnt Jill's Blastmine disable Pop goes the Weasle?
At this point, it's only a meme perk meant to humiliate/annoy the Killer. There's no real benefit.

Yes, that’s literally the point. Why would it eat perks? Getting stunned and blinded and having the kick nullified, and then having to kick it again takes up a lot of time.

Wanna know something that does technically eat pop?
Repressed alliance, since it blocks the gen for 30s, if the killer waltzes up to you anytime past 15s after hooking then RA denies the pop
7 -
Pop only activates when the gen kicking animation is complete.
Blast Mine interrupts that with a stun.

PGTW is already bad, why nerf it further?
10 -
Because blast mine doesn’t allow the killer to finish the kick before they get stunned.
It’s a 4 second stun which can cause massive delay for the killer, and can also attract teammates to your gen. It doesn’t need a buff.

Takes what?
5 seconds?
Good grief!

Yall are giving me "tech" reasons.
I'm asking for gameplay reason.
After the Blastmine nerf, what is the POINT?
Blastmine should disable Pop Goes the Weasel and preserve WireTap.
2 -
Given the current "kick gen to win" meta, I'm really surprised Wiretap/Repressed Alliance isn't becoming a more meta combo for gen jocks. Even Rookie Spirit deserves a little more attention than it has been receiving.

I got slapped on the hook today because of Blast Mine; it seems to mess with some killers psychologically even if only a tiny bit.
Not gonna lie it's really funny to pair it with Wiretap so everybody can enjoy Blast Mine with you.
Call of Brian enjoyers will eat it every time

Pop Goes the Weasel isn't bad, it's just not quite as top tier great as it was. But it still gives a decent 10-20 seconds worth of regression per use assuming you don't waste it on gens with less than 50% progress. Especially if you combine it with a second gen that also triggers on kicks it's pretty solid.

5 seconds of the killer standing still is 15 seconds worth of progress the other survivors potentially could make while giving the one who was working on the gen all the time in the world to reach a safe spot
It's not like amazing or anything but it's more vallue then it at first glance would seem

PGTW already got a pretty hefty nerf. Imagine this scenario: Yes! I can finally use my po- nvm they had blast mine. That would just turn it into dead hard for gens.

Blastmine can be annoying but it's... not at all humiliating ? I've eaten many of them and I suspect I will eat many more in the future. It stuns you for a small bit but it's really fine. If you're BM'd for a Blastmine it's more of an ego issue on the killer's part...

Gonna be honest, a survivor perk trumping a killer perk entirely never sits right with me.
4 -
Its understandable if you finish the gen while the killer is blinded though

There was a video of Otz were tried all kind of crazy stunts. One such stunt was two survivors with Blast Mines prepped the second mine while the killer was stunned and then finished the gen during the second stun.
If this had happened to me, I would have crawled into a dank, dark hole and questioned my life choices as a killer. Lol. But it's a pretty entertaining video.

No wire tap wouldn't stay...it's a freaking blast mine going off. If we want to talk realistically the Gen itself should lose progress heck even break down if a blast like that goes off inside it.

I can see that I guess ! Though if someone managed to blind me and finish the gen, I'd honestly be impressed more than ticked off xD

You can disable PGTW with Repressed Alliance. Blocks a generator for 30 seconds, which means if the killer takes longer than 15 seconds to show up or post RA, they lose out on PGTW value.

your asking a survivor perk to award ~15% max generator progression just for killer kicking a gen. Imagine a perk that makes killer do generators for the survivor for kicking gens. that is proper kick in balls as killer.

It does not eat Pop, because Pop activates when you kick the gen. And after eating Blast mine, gen is not kicked (it's not regressing).
By the way, people saying that 5 seconds is nothing probably never used this perk. The only downside of Blast mine is that most of the time, when killer comes to you while you are doing a gen, and you start to run away, they just go for you. By the time they catch up and hook you, even if they go back to kick the gen, blast mine is already gone.
But when you meet the killer that kick every generator... Boy oh boy, they will never catch you. By the time they kick the gen you can be so far that they actually can't tell where you are, especially if you are running Lightweight as well.
5 seconds is 20 meters, for killer with no mobility it takes around 30 seconds to catch up, assuming that you run away in straight line (so theoretical, not really possible best case scenario for the killer).

Back when blast mine and repressed alliance weren't bugged and it let you set blast mine without triggering repressed alliance, i always tried to do the big funny and pop repressed alliance on the gen while the killer was blinded
I oddly didn't get camped as much as i should have

If only enduring affected the stuns from blast mine and head on

I'm glad some people aren't game devs
3 -
I.... never really thought about that, that's true. It would fight against Pop.
0 -
I think it's because Blast Mine stops the kick from completing, which would cancel Pop since it's been used.
0 -
Oh this combo is so fun ! Does it not work anymore on any device ? It's shame !
0 -
You never finish kicking it, so pop doesn't activate
0 -
Repressed and the gen trap perks work off the same button so you'd activate when simultaneously. Works great with Wiretap, less so for Blast Mine.
That said, you can't use Repressed if you're on the gen with someone else, I've noticed.

Unfortunately they both activate at the same time, when blast mine took priority after 3s of repair
