Can we discuss window hits?
I get being able to hit through a window, but there are scenarios I don't think it should be able to connect, mainly AFTER a fast vault.
As we all know slow vaults drop you just on the other side of the window, but fast vaults land you on your feet with a little bit of space between you and the window. Yet, anytime (when I'm on killer or survivor) that a fast vault action completes and they just landed on their feet the hit still connects despite the distance through the window.
Its just my opinion from both sides killer and survivor that it's pretty bs when I get hit, or get the hit after the fast vault action completes and they are on their feet about to keep running.
What's you guy's take on it?

Doesn't bother me really0

Either way0

Killer arm + weapon > Survivor + 2 ft between them and the window
As for bullshit hits that indeed should never have hit you, you should start experiencing less bullshit hits after dedicated servers come in.0 -
You technically can't. As you said, with fast vaults, you land a significant distance away from the window. At that point you are beyond the killer's reach. What's happening there is just latency. The killer (on their end) swung at a time when you were still in range. Fast vaults move you a big distance in a very short amount of time, so on your end, you can be totally in the clear, but just a fraction of a second before you were vulnerable. That fraction of a second is all it takes due to latency.
It's something that can't really go away. The only real solution is to remove latency, but the only way to do that is to physically have the two players move closer to each other in the real world. You can try to compensate for latency, but doing so will sway things one way or the other. Doing so would end up with killers often getting no registration on their hits because on the survivor's end they were already safe.

So technically hit boxes are in the killers favor, I see.0

In reality you can reach through windows with an arm (and with some weapon). Why shouldnt that be possible in the game?

I'm pretty sure dedicated servers will decrease the chances of this happening (assuming everyone has decent Wi-Fi). Am I wrong?

Honestly, I don't get why so many people think that dedicated server is a magical potion that will get rid of all the problem.
I have no IT background, but from what I understand, the server will help stablise the ping while get rid of lagswitcher and register if player dc on purpose. The server location might screw you over if there is no server close to you, you will constantly get a certain range of ping and that's it.
The bullshit hits/misses will still happened, it just be more spread out between survivors and killers, because killer now also connected to that server with a ping as well. So, the lagging that constantly suck you back to previous location survivor experience with bad connection host, killer now will experience that as well.
This is what I understand after some reading, so correct my if I'm wrong,.1 -
Does that happen often to you? Cause I barely ever experience killers hitting survivors after a fast vault.
It must be a connection issue.1
