The base kit kicking regression isn't enough.
Hi, I'm a dbd player with over 3k hours. I play mainly killer, but I've spent a lot of time playing survivors too. In the update 6.1.0 the devs tried to incentivise a "healthy" playstyle, which is good. Survivors got 5 secs of bt base kit, meanwhile killer had general chase improvement and an instant kick regression.
In the upcoming patch survivors will have 10 secs bt instead of 5. I'm totally ok with this change (I even suggested that when I discussed with my friends). I think killers need more incentives to leave the hooked survivor and patrol gens around the map. To achieve that, I suggest few changes that can help reaching that goal. Obviously I'm not saying that all of that should be added at the same time. These are differents approach in order to fix the problem.
1- 5% instant regression after kicking a generator (4 secs regression). Increase the regression speed over time, for exempel it can start with the default regression speed and then after 30 secs it can reach 150%.
2- 10% instant regression after kicking a generator (8 secs regression). In this case I don't think the speed regression should be touched. I'm aware that this change can be too oppressive if there are 3 or less survivors left in the game. One fix to that is once there are 3 or less survivors left is to make it 5% regression instead.
3- Revert the gen repair speed back to 80 secs, but add an additional gen to repair. I know this one is extreme, but it will add overall 30 secs extra time. (Again, I know this one is extreme XD)
Imo opinion the best suggestion is the second one. With that change killers might use less slowdowns perks, since they have a good base kit regression. We can debate if the numbers need to be changed (I'm open having discussions). Of course slowdowns perks should be balanced around that, for example pop should give 10% instant regression instead of 20%. I believe one these changes will improve the game and I hope the devs will consider my feedback.

Agreed. 2.5% is a pathetic amount of regression tbh; a survivor can get 80% of that lost progress back in the same time it takes a Killer to kick the generator (1.8s kick time = 2% of a generator). 5% would be more than reasonable; it'd take 4.5s to get back that progress lost, thus actually giving an incentive to kick generators and punishing people who haphazardly gen tap.

.25 charges per second of regression is laughable at this time in game
Increasing it to .50 charges per second and making changes to regression perks would help
Taking away the instant regression (cause it's to small)
