I thought everyone liked this patch?
But then I came here and it's business as usual. What are we even complaining about?
Base kit BT buff was 100% the right call because everyone knows those 5 seconds meant NOTHING to many killers and they'd slug the unhooked who came to trade and then tunnel anyway. The people hurt most by this are hard tunnelers so that's a W.
Reassurance nerf: I think the cap should be 120 seconds so you can get to hook, use the perk and have time to get back and do a full gen because once again the people hurt most by this are.....that's right. Face campers at 5 gens and we don't care about their feelings because unless it'd late or end game, they're just being a jerk anyway. That said, they removed the ability to hold a survivor hostage on hook so, another W.
Awakened Awareness nerf: You can still see their aura while you're carrying them. If you can't use that info and figure out where they are 2 seconds later on your own, that's a skill issue. The people this hurts the most are TOP TIer/mobility killers like Nurse, Spirit, Blight, Hillybilly, (maybe Wraith with cloak movement speed add ons) running Starstruck. Anything that makes the top tiers weaker is another W. (That and I massively hate instadowns and this also hurts that)
Better Than New got kinda buffed in some aspects but removed the gen speeds because that would've been too strong so another W.
They started fixing Wesker. Hit boxes were unfair on both sides so survivors can't abuse pallets against Wesker anymore AND Wesker can't grab someone that was like 3 feet to the right with a broken hitbox. Helps both sides feel more fair. Another W
There were literally no L's in this update and yet people still want to complain about the most balanced and fair update in a LONG time

AA nerf was an L, it wasn't even good on Nurse

The AA nerf sucks because it was nerfed because of nurse and nothing else. It’s funny though because after the nerf nurse is the only killer who can actually get value from it

*body is one character too short*

They should nerf the issue in this game which is nurse, instead of nerfing perks which automatically nerfs other killers that dont deserve it.
9 -
the aa nerf was a massive L. instead of making nurse blink hits special attacks, they just neutered the perk bc starstruck nurse

BT change is strong for endgame but it's the same thing if you want to tunnel someone early it's still very easy, current OTR with 80 seconds of endurance doesn't help that much, a 300 seconds BT is still the same thing it's just one hit

The people are complaining as always, don't listen. Yes the changes are good. One half of the playerbase (and probably more) is statisfied, the others want to raise their voice against changes in videogames instead of real-life matters. I wouldn't take it to heart.

The only change i really dislike is them reverting MoM
AA nerf kinda sucks because of the reason why but it's whatever to me.
All the other changes especially the bloodweb changes seem amazing to me

As the game gravitates towards a fun/fair experience for most players, there will always be a few loud voices that have trouble 'keeping up' with actual balance.

People like you who think the game is balanced for killers always walking away from hooks make me lose brain cells

Wesker being fixed is great. Shame Awakened Awareness got nerfed because of Nurse, though.
All they need to do is make Hyperfocus not work with Stake Out and the game might actually be in a good spot for once.

Nurse is not issue, how about you get good?
They nerfed Thana, i guess Legion and Plague was so op?
Nerfing perks is the way they have to go. Nerfing killer because some perks are strong on them is not the good way. And it will kill game.

I didn't even mention the Bloodweb cost reduction. Another huge W this update

I don’t get all the griping about Awakened Awareness, I’m still planning to use it in my Backpack build. 🙂 Not to mention even outside of that build it’s still a decent information perk since it tells you immediately if anybody is hovering for a save during a carry or if you’ll need to head farther out to get into a new chase after the hook. If you combine it with BBQ for instance you’ll basically see all the survivors’ auras in the course of the carry and hook, that’s really good info!

Overall this update was fantastic. Especially the Wesker changes.

It sounds reasonable to blame the AA nerf on Nurse, but I would like to argue that the lingering aura effect stacked together with Starstruck and Lethal would have been problematic with any killer. Starstruck alone already has a great snowball potential, so allowing the killer to see said exposed survivors for some time after the hook would be insane.
The synergy of exposed + lingering aura is just too great for it being activated so easily, by just carrying a survivor. I can't think of another aura+exposed combination as powerful as this:
Hounted + Retribution may show you the aura of exposed survivors as well, but the activation is not under your control, so you are not guaranteed to have any survivor nearby. It may fail completely (retribution cleansed first) and can be used at most two times (with unduying).
MYC, Furtive Chase & Nemesis allows you to see the exposed unhooker (when the obession was unhooked). But you have to be far away from the hook to trigger MYC, and even with the aura the rescuer migth just hide away. You cannot faciliate it instantly.

They nerfed thana because every survivor was complaining about it and every killer was using it. Plague and legions are still using it. Some random wild card killers still use it. Nurse is not an issue? Uhhu sure... Its never been an issue...

Reverting MoM? Why?
0 -
Because the MoM we have now is a better perk then the old one.
Doubling the amount of healing you need to do just to activate your shield is not worth it not being gone when working on gens.
Especially when you get that shield when there is a injured teammate in chase with the killer right next to you.
Current MoM you need one setup body block and then you can body block twice in a row. You know how long you can help a tunneled teammate with that?
People just wrote it off as a nerf without even trying or thinking about how to use it.
Current MoM is a decent C tierish perk that can help vs tunneling
Old MoM is a throw the game to activate meme tier perk.

Except her some add-ons what's wrong with her? It does not makes Nurse issue because you are bad against her. Nerf her add-ons and she will be okey.

I'm not even going to bother answering to you since you are very hostile and you just assume i cant play against nurses. Yeah good nurses will wipe the floor with me, avarage nurses i can deal with.
Anyways have a nice day.

You are talking about nerfing her but you are not saying any reason, except one perk. What you were expecting?
It is an evening here but thanks. Have a good day.

while the perk changes are debated between people, (And of course it's still PTB, just wait it out to see what teh final decision is), we all can agree that the BP changes are cool, no matter which side we play more

The patch has change, change is very spooky so obviously some will dislike parts of it for one reason or whatever.
At least the grind reduction changes will be as near universally liked as possible. I'm sure there's a few people out there angry that it means people might have more items/add-ons but of all the wild things people get unhappy about I can only remember seeing that once and that was about old moris and keys, and even then it was ridiculous 😄

I mean, her power ignores every survivor defense. To me anything that completely breaks the rules every other killer has to play by is poor design.
@topic to me this update is overall a really solid one. The reduction in the cost of the bloodwebs is by far the best part imo.

There will never be a patch that everyone will like. It's almost guaranteed some won't like it, even if it's the most perfect patch there was. The game is constantly changing, so patches will work with the fluxes. In terms of recent patches especially, BHVR have shown a lot of competency amd wanting to shake everything up to make the game feel fresh. Some don't like change.
