What is the purpose of Glass Bead on map? It creates a marker, but like strategically and such, what is that marker for?

    Its been with the game since basically launch - its purpose is mostly there to provide a marker for the other survivors in the map, so you could mark a generator, mark the hatch (back when it spawned in view to everyone), mark a chest, etc. Very few people have used it in my 6 years playing this other than to meme by spamming it, but that's basically its intended purpose - to mark some point of interest to your team-mates.
