I am not sure if I am alone, but I REALLY love playing him on the Game. Even though I am a sus Blight, that map makes me feel like I know what I am doing.

He’s good but the only thing i would change is how he can make a full “U” around an object while sliding and still hit you. That’s complete horseshit. And no matter how many times i see him starting to do it, my brain keeps telling me “no way he makes this curve,” even though I damn well know he can- from past experiences. Then when i get hit I’m yelling at the tv. 😹

He's fine, but I do hate facing players, who're relying on add-ons to make their curves reach such high angles that'd otherwise be impossible. His lunge while curving seems kinda questionable to me aswell.. I mean, I've received the most questionable hits from him while he was attempting to land a hit while performing the lethal rushes; No other killer in the game have had more questionable hitboxes from my experiences.. Not even the so popular Anna's hatchets.
I'd love to play against players, who're actually good at playing him without add-ons; Thing is, every single match against Blight, there's either an add-on to allow him to curve his lethal rushes under higher angles, to have more tokens, or to increase the recharge rates of tokens. I'd put him into the same unfun category as Rin with Dried Cherry Blossom, if Adrenaline Vial, Blighted Crow, Blighted Rat, Alchemist's Ring, or Umbra Salts add-ons are present. It just feels like the player's getting those hits thanks to the used add-ons instead of being actually being a good player.. Kinda like when M1 killers do run Bamboozle, you know..

I have been learning the ways of the Blight the past couple days, and the only build I have been using has been Shadowborn, Lightborn, Mad Grit and Agitation.
I...can't use anything else. I'm addicted. Help.

Second best designed and balanced killer in the game. Compound 33/21/Alch Ring need reworks/changes. Everything else is perfect.

The epitome of double standards as a killer. Very little counterplay if the player is decent, busted addons and perk synergy, as strong as nurse with the right build in the right hands, and utter tripe to play against. And yet this community apparently loves him.
He's more fair than nurse but that isn't a high bar to cross. I think making him 4.4m/s would fix a lot of his issues.

Apart from certain addons I feel the versing blight experience has gotten much better now ruin/undying/tinkerer is dead and buried.

He is very easy to play that's why. Both survivors and most killers hate Nurse, but most players can play Blight. This community is mostly casuals.

Yes the community for this casual game is full of dirty casuals. Can we not turn this into yet another thread about nurse and why she does/does not basically need a master's degree to be able to play.

Most fun killer to play as for me, always play him with Shadowborn and usually without addons although the extra speed ones make him even more flowy and are a lot of fun. All the other killers begin to feel too slow and clunky after playing him for a while. I love pinball and playing Blight can be like first person pinball where you can directly control the ball and do some crazy bump logic/lethal geometry and get in a relaxing flow state. I think I would have probably stopped playing DBD within the first 50 hours or so if I didn't start playing Blight then.
His aesthetic is awesome (spooky hood, fancy cane, gargling screams, crazy eyes, and goopy face, yes please) and he has my favorite cosmetic in the game, the Ferryman skin. His Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde inspired back story is cool and his somber menu music is great. I hope if BHVR does change him, in regards to his collisions and hug tech, they won't mess him up too much but it's been a good run.

Umbra salts does not affect blights lunge at all. Also it seems like you don't like adrenaline vial and that's understandable from a view of how fast he can cut through resources with it. But there is huge downside to adrenaline vial that you wouldn't know unless you played with it a bit. His lunges no longer retain their directional velocity. Which basically means yeah he can do a 180 but that also means that any form of a spin or dodge counters everything about adrenaline vial except shoulder flicks(survivor and killer hitbox are touching). Not only that any thing with dodgy collision or any efforts to try and correct your rush just doesn't work with this add-on, the reason for that is it takes longer for blight to even start turning on top of the slower turn rates. This add-on is extremely over rated, though it's still good for chewing through pallets against a pre thrower. And just to reiterate umbra salts are one of the worst add-ons he has besides the few that literally downgrade his basekit.
Forgot to say that c-33 even by itself is the best add-on in the game and is very very unskillful pair that with adrenaline vial and survivors get 5ft after a pallet before getting hit. Very disgusting for sure.

It doesn't have to affect the lunge; Like I've described, it is enough to affect under what kind of an angle he turns while lethal rushing. That, by itself, is one of the best add-ons thanks to that. I do know of no other counterplay besides windows, besides making wide turns to force him miss the attack due to getting into too high angle from where he's running, if you ask me.
Although Adrenaline Vial has some downsides, they're not dramtaic enough to force players choose different add-ons.
Like I've described, he's fine on its own; The add-ons do make him problematic, as literally everybody runs the same ones for years already. It's getting quite annoying.

i hate him. played him near exclusively for like a year, got bored and now my mmr on him is too high to make any games with him playable since i suck at him again and i'm going against comp players every time i queue into a match, even though i play him like once a month for a daily or whatever. i'm pretty convinced mmr decay was never implemented lol

I'm not quite sure what you mean. There are 3 upsides to adrenaline vile. +2 rushes, A higher look angle that in turn allows him to do a 180 and the double recovery rate of his tokens. I can only assume you are talking about the higher look angle, but that really does nothing other than wacky flicks that have easy counterplay if you expect them. Adrenaline vial is only broken paired with c33.

I really like the game map with Hillbilly too. It's always strikes me as odd when people complain about the map for its pallets. Theres no windows.
Game is to pallets as Lery's is to windows. They're designed to have an overabundance of those resources.

I wish his recharge would be faster in exchange for slowing him down to 105% movement speed, and removing his most busted, and soon to be best add-on in the game, Alchemist Ring.

Even though his state back then was worse I would rather go back to the days of J flicks and true moonrushes cause those actually felt thrilling compared to 90 pre-turn, with 90 flick then adjust back outwards ~20-30 degrees.

He needs better turning on console and all his techs should be added to console too like hug tech. Hit boxes should be also be bigger on console overall for all killers or better auto aim.

It's not like you can actually expect the player to be running this add-on, as most do run Alchemist's Ring and one of the Blighted animals.
To be honest, I see no easy counterplay, if the killer can literally rush at me and make a turn of ~120 and still hit me, which'd be impossible without the add-on(s). Well, I'm fine if the player hits me, but I'm not fine with how those hits do look like! It probably looks on from his point of view like a clear hit, but from my point of view, there was no way that attack has actually and could've actually hit me - Which is why I have decided to run in that direction in the first place.
Although I have talked about the higher look angle, the add-on on its own alone isn't problematic; Like you've mentioned, it becomes problematic only when paired with other add-ons, and there are currently only five or six other add-ons outta twenty that I do face.
They're Alchemist's Ring, Adrenaline Vial, Blighted Crow, Umbra Salts, Blighted Crow, and Pustula Dust. Those add-ons do literally carry players and make landing hits while using lethal rush numerous times easier.

Adrenaline Vial drastically changes his playstyle. Blighted Crow is countered by mindgaming. Umbra Salts is negligible on everything except console. Pustula Dust is negligible. You don’t need add-ons to turn. You counter Blight by mindgaming.

You can't mindgame, if the killer moves faster than you can get to the side of the tile. That's just unrealistic and would only be possible, if I'd have been faster or play in low MMR.

You can hit 180 flicks without addons.. those hits are not impossible without addons, I NEVER run addons with blight unless I’m popping streamers.

If he is not using double speed addons, or AR, then he is perfect.
Also, if my teammates decide to actually play against him then yeah he is fun.

probably an unpopular opinion, blight is just as strong as nurse, with and without addons. and is in need of a good nerf just as much as her.

Nobody likes playing 105 killers because it forces you to use your power to catch survivors without them falling for mindgames. 115 is perfect for him. Especially with the annoying slippery surfaces on a lot of tiles. New blight players would just get frustrated learning him, just like their new hugtech rework. Nobody wants it.
