stridor spirits on the rise?
every spirit ive gone against has stridor? why? they never used to run it as much in my matches

Because iron will was nerfed to reduce sounds to only 25%. No reason to not bring stridor on Spirit now.

They made it usable again so people are using the niche perk on the 1 killer that its decent on
3 -
If they want to use that, then more power to them I suppose. Not like many other killers can use that perk.

oh really? No wonder iron will didnt even really work, i thought it was 75 XD

true, but definitely sends some signals

Stridor spirit used to be ran as a primary counter to Iron Will. Then BHVR changed the interaction so Iron Will trumped Stridor so spirits dropped the perk as the little value it had was easy to counter.
Now that Iron Will no longer completely counters Stridor, it's worth running Stridor again.

I think that'swhat they meant to say, IW makes you groan at 25% of the volume.
It's stilldecent, but it's notthe silver bullet it once was

Stridor Spirits are easier to go against imo. The perk is only a bandaid, it's not actually useful on her especially since Iron Will is gone. Stridor Spirits have three extra perk slots while not having Stridor frees up one more slot. This is why I recommend Spirits to not run Stridor.

^ literally this

Yea its a 75% reduction, bringing your sounds to 25%

I always found it easier to track survivors without running stridor. Stridor makes me think I'm right next to them only to end phasing 12 meters behind the survivor.
It was only used because iron will dumpstered her power.
It is admittedly easier to track healthy survivors with stridor due to the louder breathing sound. Maybe that's why people are using it.

If it's just Stridor, there's currently an archive challenge for that.

Stridor's main uses are to help track healthy survivors via breathing and to better track survivors with Iron Will (now that Iron Will isn't 100% reduction). Iron Will is still very good at losing killers trying to track via sound despite the nerf it means it's harder to hear the survivor over other noises.
As for Stridor on survivors whose sounds aren't being reduced, it's something you would have to adjust to. Though it's like Shadowborn Nurse vs Nurse w/o Shadowborn. Once you get yourself adjusted to Shadowborn, it's hard to switch back and it means your build is committed to a QoL perk.

Thats a good thing, Stridor or no Stridor, more people are playing Spirit! I see that as a good sign rather than a bad one.

Yup.
So much more fun perks you could be using instead.
