RPD somehow became worse to play on
Idk how BHVR manages to do it. Still the worst map to play on.
Not fun for killer, obviously. Not fun for survivor since every other killer just goes AFK until the gens are done.

Not to mention they reduced dead ends by adding more dead ends to a map where there wasn't actually any real dead ends

I am not surprised.

I've been playing killer on the new RPD and it has been very miserable. The amount of double pallet/window combinations and shockingly safe loops for survivors is unbelievable.

Try W keying every time you break line of sight. Most of the pallets are not good loops, so losing the killer is the way to go.

Fun to see that the individual responsible for the nightmare that is the Reworked version of The Game is still in charge of level design.
"How many pallets does this map need?"
"YES"

safe pallets. Thats the important distinction.
Lots of pallets could even be a good thing for both sides IF they were almost exclusively unsafe, mindgamable pallets. Unfortunately strong pallets existing and their frequency demands the overall count be reduced.
Or we could just go back to putting two pallets on the same tile, apparently. Havent tried the live version vs PTB but that certainly wasn't giving me any hope they learned that lesson, same with the "halved overall size" of each variation.

Yeah idk what goes on over there. Took them this long to go "Hey guys, I think decreasing the bloobweb node cost will reduce the grind"

Or the fact that they went through the OLD maps and pulled a bunch of pallets out, only to do graphical reworks and PUT THEM ALL BACK IN
It's a real frick and frack show over there.
