Very tired of content being released in an unacceptably broken state.
I was so hyped for Wesker. His power seemed like so much fun to use and go against ( rarity for a DBD killer).
Instead, he released in a state where he may as well not even have a power. His Bound power is virtually unusable. Sometimes you hit a survivor with it and just harmlessly slide around them. Sometimes you grab a survivor with it and the game just freaks out and has you immediately drop them without doing damage. Sometimes you grab them, hold onto them for about ten seconds, doing nothing, then drop them without doing damage. Sometimes you literally pass straight through survivors with it. These aren't even particularly rare occurrences.
Despite narrowing the hitbox on it to what feels like the width of a pencil, to the point it's virtually nonfunctional for actually hitting survivors, you still get stuck dead in your tracks whenever you barely graze any kind of surface while using it, making it almost unusable at most loops. I'm not sure why it was decided that Wesker shouldn't be able to slide around any collision whatsoever (unless it's a survivor, you'll slide around them), but it really sucks. This is a game with Blight, Demo, and Oni sliding around everything, but I guess Wesker would be too powerful if he could slide along a surface with his power that may just not do anything even if it hits a survivor.
I almost feel bad for most of the Weskers I've gone against. Most of them are forced to play the majority of matches as a pure M1 killer because his power straight up doesn't work 90% of the time.
On top of that, his coat physics are broken so it just looks like he's stomping around the map wearing giant bell bottoms or something.
I debated with whether to post this here or on the bug reporting board, but I decided to post it here because I'm sure most of this has already been reported (and BHVR was aware of most of it prior to release and just decided to let people spend money on it anyway). This is mostly me just venting frustration.
Also, Nemesis still has nonfunctional audio and animations.

Playing a bunch of Wesker games where my dash just refuses to connect with survivors, deal damage to them and just releasing them instead, going through them, etc entirely killed any excitement I had about this chapter and killer

The problem is that they release the PTR, and see bugs or issues, which is great. But then they fix them in the launch patch. they don't do a second PTR to test their "changes from PTR".
Realistically, PTR comes out 3 weeks before the patch. Why are they not updating the PTR weekly, or hell even daily with changes to test things out?

What’s the point in the ptb if they just straight up don’t fix the bugs we find reactive healing was bugged in the ptb and it’s still bugged and that’s just one example lol

BHVR explained it a while back. Sending out a PTB "patch" requires approval and time. So doing that to test changes over and over would be very time-consuming and inefficient.

I don't believe they do PTR for consoles? So that means the "approval" is only from them. Sounds like they have a process problem. I'm a software engineer, and when we test stuff, we deploy it constantly to our test environments, multiple times a day even as we find and fix new issues.

It's not really broken though, they just nerfed the hitboxes too much. There is a bug though where he randomly releases survivors and that is really bad.
But compared to last chapter where so many things got broken, this update is pretty stable.

i can't recall the actual chapters but 100% they have made pre-ptb changes to test things before live, it kind of leaves the only plausible explanations simply laziness/cost saving.

It's because if the game is fixed what reason do we have to interact with them and watch their streams displaying changes coming? The fact that its constantly changing and they're always fixing something they're using the community interaction almost like a sales pitch to people to "show they care", if BHVR truly wanted alot of the bugs people complain about could be fixed in like a months time with someone actually focused on that aspect

I guess I've just been very lucky and haven't experienced many bugs with him. I'm not great with him though and chocked most things to me still learning to play him...

It's just part of the package. I started playing at the release of the Legion DLC. From day 1, I knew to expect a hefty dose of issues with every patch haha

I don’t understand if I’m lucky but I played so many wesker games and I didn’t experience any issues he plays just fine and I’m on console.
He does need his hit box increased and he’s a bit buggy but I haven’t had a bad experience and it’s really not bad. Wesker is fine besides those issues and this is the least buggiest patch we had no lag no game breaking issues

The very first time I played Wesker, I grabbed a survivor and immediately dropped them without injuring them. I don't understand why some of you are going to bat for BHVR by pretending that's even remotely acceptable.

All the matches I’ve played I have never experienced that issue once.
I had a game where I got locked for a couple seconds but then it injured them.
But this it never happened to me at all
