Are sacrificial wards not working?

Just had a match where I used one and someone put on The Game offering and it still took us there. I re-read the wording in the offering description and the only exception is when all 4 survivors bring the same map offering.
Am I missing something? or is this just bad RNG. For the record, The Game isn't one of my favorite maps lol 😣

It doesn't block the map from appearing at all, it just blocks the offering from increasing the chance.

You can still be sent to the game map even if the offering was rejected, just bad RNG.
same way you can still be sent to another map even if bringing a map offering

Ah, so the chances of it being the same map as the one in the offering are still there?

Got it, I never use offerings but I have been to RPD like 6x out of the 7 matches I played, and it backfired on me. XD

They never worked, that's why I don't use them xD

With the latest chapter came the reworked RPD maps. Every "new" map has its pick numbers raised so it is selected more often than normal.
And as others have said, the wards just remove the additional chance a map offering applies, not affecting the heightened chances for RPD over the next week or two or whatever they set it at.

This is one change Sacrificial Wards need - they should block the Map completely if a Map Offering is used. Because you can get unlucky and STILL end up on the same Map.
Second change would be to refund it if no Map Offering is used.
Because in their current state, they are probably the most pointless green Bloodweb-Item.

Map offerings increase the chance of being sent to a map
Sacrificial Wards decrease it back to its standard value

Honestly I wish they’d just get rid of map offerings altogether and tweak the map selection algorithm so it never picks a map any of the five players were in on their most recent match. That way you never see the same map twice in a row and nobody can force the game into a potentially abusable map.
