What do you think about a flashlight buff?
I know it's a bit of a touchy subject but I feel Flashlights are just way to niche, and useable in only a few instances. I feel like maybe make it so the Killer looking up or down doesn't negate the whole thing, and maybe make completely blinding something that you really gotta time, such as it is now, but other than that you could more easily harass (I'm not referring to BMing and being a jerk) the killer, such as maybe causing them to lose a chase or something. Maybe a mini-blind that shuts off scratch marks for a few seconds, or maybe makes them harder to read.

I mean tbf, if the killer isn't looking at the flashlight...why should they get the stun?

You have a perk for that already, Lightweight I think it´s called. And scratch marks are already hard to read on their own.

Killers have Lightborn. So you want to deny a perk just so that you can troll the clown role even more.
If that bothers you don´t bring them in first place.

Yea but that's sorta the thing, it's NOT fair. The flashlight is one of the few tools the Survivors have to "Fight Back", and it isn't very powerful at all. I'm just suggesting, maybe it would be a bit more powerful.

I wanna make it very clear here, that I am not a survivor or killer main, I'm not asking because I hate when I try to go for a blind and fail, I'm asking because of the times that people have tried to come and blind me. It feels really bad for them. I just look up or look to the side, and while I mean it isn't EXTREMELY inconvenient, it really isn't a bother in any way. I don't know, maybe I should just spend more time using them, but anytime I do it feels like a really empty experience. What if a cool little back and forth could happen, where the killer fights to go after the Survivor, but the survivor keeps flashing the damn lights in their eyes. I don't know, I was just asking because maybe someone could point out how wrong I was, or show how flawed my thinking is, not because I'm pretending to be the other side and want a nerf.

I think you're wrong when you say flashlights aren't powerful. They have the ability to instantly undo the killer's last chase, and to a lesser extent lose a current chase (though this requires either duration addons or stealth perks to back it up.) Removing the killer's ability to recognize and counter this is not a fair move. It's a high risk, high reward item that takes skill to use effectively. If you want to make it easier to use, you need to lower the reward as well.

I feel like if you get the blind off flashlight should have more interesting addons:
-one slows the killer for like a few seconds (like 5 percent slow or something)
-one could maybe do the old stun but make it iri... like a quick stun, 1 second or 2
-one could do hide auras from the killer, applying blindness debuff (residual manifest)
Just give them some kind of customiseability to make it a more interesting item to bring addons for.
