dealing with toxic killers?

ok so let me start this off with the preface that yes, the killers are supposed to kill the survivors, but damn, ive been running into a lot of toxic ones recently. i just got out of a match against an onryo where i was the last survivor, i opened the exit gate while injured and she of course proceeded to down me, picked me up and took me inside the exit gate and drop me, just to shake her head and pick me up and hook me. ive been tunneled, camped, body blocked, and all sorts of things, so how do i deal with this? its very frustrating and annoying :/

I know the feeling…I had a pig match where the other 3 survivors DCd in the first 30 seconds of the match. I found the pig just standing on the hatch so I could get in to it, she then closed the hatch chased me to an exit. She let open the exit then downed me and hooked me

I hardly see them. If I do, they hit you on hook 1 time.

The same way i dealt with survivor waiting in the exit gate, waving me closer as if to give me one last hit only to dodge at the last second (pre 6.1 even dh over the exit line):

Just go afk or tab out when the inevitable is not longer avoidable. Go get a drink or take a leak.

Just take your L and press continue. Killers deal with toxic survivors all day as well.

Yeah, the amount of toxic killers that are prevalent in most matches after the major patch in August is irritating

By toxic, I’m not even referring to tunneling/camping. It’s just constant BMing in almost every match and it’s extremely frustrating, especially when you bring Flan or a BP streamer.

Yeah, toxic killers are relatively rare. Usually they can only express their toxicity by hitting you on hook, or acting like they are going to let you go, but then closing the hatch or downing you at the gate switch. The first one is a waste of their time, the latter two are more annoying because they are just wasting your time.

Thought to be fair, a single smack on hood may just be to shut the surv up. Repeated smacking is just...pathetic. Makes the killer seem easily tilted and not all that smart.

Just laugh it off? Killers being toxic in-game is cheesy as hell. I can't even tell half the time. There was this Trapper who kept trying to put his trap by me after I crawled to a hook for him after he slugged for the 4k. But apparently, because I was too close to the hook, he had to "teabag" me from a mile away. I was so confused and my sister needed to explain what he was trying to do. Rofl.

I also ran into a Legion that let me open the gate, but then carried me back into the map to crawl out. He messed up his timing and had to do it again. I was even on an escape challenge, and usually challenges trigger me. But just witnessing their attempt to BM was enough to lighten the mood. I was joking that if I had tenacity, he would have never been able to stop me.

I had a match this morning where the killer messaged me on Xbox “easy 3K.” I messaged him back: “What are you telling me that for? I’m solo and I’m the one who escaped.”

He was such a toxic Ahole, I imagine he was so anxious to send that- he didn’t even bother to check who was who. All he saw was we were both on the same platform, and it was an opportunity to be toxic.

No kidding. They swarm the hook, then call me a camper, like I would go away from the hook to find other survivors WHEN THEY'RE ALL BY THE HOOK. And the unjustified teabagging... you pre- dropped a pallet in chase, came nowhere near stunning me, yet teabag like it was some accomplishment. smh

You can't. Crappy people are crappy people, sadly there are lots among us. I encounter a lot of griefing and harassing killers. If something is definetely goes under some report issue (like not "nod to me" or "slap me on hook"), record a video, report them and also report to steam support including this video. Just did that 10 minutes ago. Maybe that will help to keep community cleaner (unless BHVR throws steam support tickets the same bin that ingame reports goes to)

As to your actual point, yeah there is gonna be more killer bm, after years of being bullied by survivors lots of killers are gonna take their chance to give it back.

Also you have the survivors who used to bm but cant anymore because their crutches are gone and have switched to playing killer so they can be toxic there.

So what your mad that she let you get some free bloodpoints outta the match.

I don't let toxic killers bother me, because I know how difficult the game is supposed to be for them. Clearly if they're acting toxic, it's because they got lucky and got a super easy match. They won't be celebrating next match when they get wrecked by efficient survivors.

People always label.. survivors do this, killers do that, but really it's just down to 'people' and the way they play. Could be something happened in their last game and they just want to take it on someone, anyone, else. They may have tried to play a fair game and got bm'd for their trouble in the past, or simply.. some players just enjoy griefing others for no particular reason (fun for them?). It sucks, but it's present in any game unfortunately.

Only thing you can do is report it if it's legitimately griefing (with video), not sure if it'll do much, but i can only imagine if they get several reports on the same player they must have to do something. Other than that, just move onto the next game, or even take a short break, nothing worse than playing on when you're frustrated.

The worst thing i think anyone can do, especially as killer, is take out their frustration on another player.
