Saying it is bad but doing it is fine!

Just thought it was interesting that saying "teabagging" is censored in the game chat but devs have said nothing is wrong with survivors doing it and they shouldn't be punished in any way. Cool deal, devs.

Eh, the filter blocks out half the characters names, some players can say GG while others get #'d out, the filter has never worked properly so I don't see the relevance.

I don't get why people are so triggered by someone mashing buttons on their console/keyboard.

I realise people have applied all this arbitrary meaning to it but the reality is its meaningless.

Its kind of like the finger, pick any finger assign an arbitrary meaning to it and then try and make me feel bad by showing it to me. Good luck with that.

Even if you feel bad about having a bad game and a bunch of childish cocky survivors are mashing buttons hard at the exit gate, the only person making you feel bad there is you.

You gotta realise you're gonna eat a loss sometimes and sometimes its a crushing loss, but if that doesn't irk you then neither can a bunch of people trying to make it irk you, especially when all they are doing is giving themselves RSI.

Ironically, you can also not say "facecamp"

I tried saying Thomas Brown Hewitt. Thomas Brown was censored.

I tried saying you won, it was censored.

Anyone with at least half brain cares about teabagging? I mean who even cares if anyone does it? They try to use that as some sort of insult or something ridiculous like that? By all means, knock yourselves out. I never even tried to bring it up in any chat

    I don't think that's fair at all.

It's like you're playing chess and when your opponent wins, they just berate you and mock you for minutes on end. Maybe it doesn't get to you the first thirty times but after experiencing it enough, it will grate on you.

I do love it when survivors teabag and I'm the killer; They're giving me the necessary time to recover from successful hits to catch up to them more easily.

I don't like the fact that you can barely even compliment other players for their well timed pallet drops, vaults, and otherwise precise gameplay.. You can't even mention perks' names, characters' names, and maybe even something more. That's right, Agent 007's name is censored aswell! It kinda sucks, because I do enjoy complimenting those, who do deserve it..

The endgame chat would probably censor my birth name, I promise you that the endgame chat doesn’t know what to censor and what not to censor

It’s nothing like that at all.

If you manifest it that way in your head you are going to make yourself upset.

It’s more akin to you lose a game of chess and your opponent sits there bobbing up and down.

You ask the person next to you what it means and they reply, “it means they are mocking your loss”.

To which the reply is “How is his acting like a fool mocking me?”

No one is yelling at you or even disparaging you. They a just mashing a button. Assign all the cultural relevance to it you want but frankly it’s the most powerless thing someone could do to show derision.

I say stop being unfair to yourself by imagining BM’ing is the equivalent of genuine mockery because it really isn’t.

I'm always about toughening up to deal with BM, but like.

"They aren't making a formal declaration of fisticuffs against my feelings, therefore it can't actually be happening" isn't the exact way I'd go about that.

You don’t need a formal threat of physical or emotional violence to feel intimidated. That’s not what I’m saying.

But drawing an equivalence between BM’ing in a computer game to being berated in the real world is a gross over estimation of its power.

Some losses feel really crappy too, especially when it’s against obnoxious players because we all have a sense of justice and we feel that’s an unjust outcome.

But BM’ing can only upset you if you are already beating yourself up over loss. Take a step back, forgive yourself for not winning even against the most obnoxious opponents and soon you’ll see that BM’ing is the weakest silliest taunt ever thought up in human history.

You’ll be smacking people out the gate and moving on like an emotionally resilient champ in no time, while the BM’ers of the world will still be mashing buttons like fools to no avail.

It's less the idea of them mocking me and more the fact they insist upon wasting my time. 9 out of 10 survivors insist upon standing at the exit gate, sometimes for the whole 2 minutes, even though I've already conceded and alt tabbed to do something else. They are able to do this because there's zero consequence for this behavior. They are literally preventing me from moving on unless I walk all the way over there and click at them while they continue to bob around like morons, knowing full well they are in control of the pacing of the game and refusing to advance things.

As killer you have the power to change that though.

Go to the gate and chase them out… end of game.

If you don’t exercise your own power to stop it then you’ll wait the full timer every time some obnoxious survivor wants you to. Why do that just to avoid seeing their digital avatar bounce up and down?

If you farm up points by breaking stuff and spamming your power great but if there is no value spending that time why allow yourself to be held hostage in game.

People whom taunt and BM only win if they can make you feel bad or waste your time, so don’t let them.

Why give your time to people whom don’t deserve it? You’ll get to the post game menu check your BP’s click exit and never think of them again while you play the next game.

Bad winners and sore losers go hand in hand and you are forced to participate with a lot of them given the nature of random pvp, so don’t t force yourself to interact for longer than you have to.
