for me its re2 and 3 remake that i love. I never played any of the others. If they dont have claire or jill im not playing lmao. Im just shocked that you hate that game after saying you love sheva. But that can happen. I wish sheva was her own character instead of a skin. I really wanted to buy her

I'll just echo some of the other responses: spending $15 more for a simple uncustomizable skin that goes on top of a character you already have to pay $5 for, when the latter is a skin plus exclusive perks... that will always be pretty silly.

We don't know. It depends entirely on if the demand is elastic or inelastic- how much would demand change relative to a change in price? If it's elastic, then demand would go up substantially and more revenue, but if it's inelastic then it wouldn't change that much and so revenue plummets.
Without access to all of their financial models and cost-revenue charts, we will never know. But it clearly seems to be working out alright

If you've ever played League of Legends, their best skins change all their attack animations and everything. That's what I expect.

I think all of the cosmetics should cost about 30% less than they do. If they cost 50% less that would feel like a bargain. Regular price feels too expensive to me.

I still can't believe they got away with charging 15$ for the Trickster Valentine's day skin.That extra price is literally for 1 lobby animation and some voicelines.
Meanwhile Baba Yaga makes the killer into a different person,has unique lobby animations,a unique voice (for stuns and such) and most importantly a new lullaby.

Let's just say I like how BHVR handles skins. If I really want one I can buy it. There is no RNG so even if a skin is $15 I still find better then the alternative.

They cost 3x as much as purchasing a new character that has perks, and if they're a killer, a unique playstyle. Of course not.
I'll buy them on sale, but so far there isn't anyone I'm tempted to get at full price.

I always feel that the micro transaction industry is sleeping on 75% of the market. A lot of players would say "hey, I like that skin and I wanna support the game. Here is my 5 bucks!", but whenever I see cosmetics in games, they are always a good chunk over the feel-good-mark (probably that 30% of yours).
My gut feeling tells me, that this is just what everyone else is doing, and its making money, and no one ever seriously tried to sell much more for less, ie the 5$ route. And now its deemed too risky to change, the first one to try it could make a lot of extra money, but also risk a lot of revenue, so things will stay as they are.

I thought they were $10? I have a couple ultra rare and they were all $10 from what I remember.
even though the “ultra rare” is just to make you feel better lol. It can’t really be rare when everybody in the game has access to it.

I've bought a few. Some were kind of worth it, but the high prices do actually piss me off. I just got Executioner and Onryo for 5 dollars which is a good deal, but if I wanna to get outfits for them, I have to pay like 25 bucks which is a stupid price.
