Either fix Nemesis zombies or just don't allow them on inside maps

We all know how janky the movement of these things are and how often they get stuck. On outside maps this isn't a huge problem but on inside maps they can literally just block doorways and ######### and the only way to deal with that is to either have a flash light or have Nemesis himself remove the zombie.

They still get stuck on stuff outside. I am not sure how difficult it would be to fix, but does it even matter? It is not as though it will ever happen.

I got facecamped in the basement on RPD by a zombie.

  • It's mostly a non issue on outside maps due to how large they are but on inside maps the can get stuck on doorways and basically block that whole door off as a result.

And it literally just happend to me on RPD, a zombie got stuck on the little broken wall that leads into the main opening of the map and survivors could not walk through it without taking a hit from the zombie

Yeah, I got one who body blocked the upstairs room to the East. Pretty annoying, but you know, from playing Nemesis a lot, they mostly get stuck on walls or trees where nobody is ever going to be. I just take it as, "that's unlucky" and move on because rng gonna rng.

  • It's not just "annoying" it's completely broken, sections of the map shouldn't just be blocked off by buggy AI. Fix it, or just have them not spawn on inside maps.

Or maybe rework Nemesis all together. I think he's kinda fun but I feel like he could have been more accurate and more fun and a lot less janky.

They just need to treat zombie hits as killer hits and briefly remove collision after a hit.

Yeah, I agree. The fact that you can't pass them is the only issue. The way it currently works is really counterintuitive and can create some stupid situations where it's impossible to save a survivor no matter how many health states you have to burn, or you get trapped and go from uninfected and healthy to downed because a zombie followed you towards a dead end totem or gen and you couldn't perceive their groaning until it was too late. Zombies shouldn't be implacable walls and it doesn't make sense they're like that.

But "nerf zombies" is definitely not the way to go when zombies are exceptionally useless most of the time and indoor maps are the only maps they're likely to do anything on.

The game doesnt have proper collision mechanics it feels like for the zombies. The only reason i think theyve never been fixed is due to the demand the zombies have no circumnavigation or at least it doesnt feel like they do as once they detect you they just walk directly in your direction and never around objects. Sure zombies are susposed to be undead idiots but even they still track like bats and its probably a lot of ai work and stage setup to get them functioning properly. I wonder if capcom has ever given them notes or suggestions on it
