Should they add more things to do with luck?

What the title says. I always felt it was a mechanic that was often forgotten about and was wondering what do you think if they added more to it? There are many mechanics in this game I feel should have more love.

    I don't think it would fly. It would implement more rng mechanics which is greatly disliked by most of the community

    I think they need to revamp Luck as an effect, it's quite weak right now since generally speaking trying to pull yourself off the hook is a bad idea and that's the only thing Luck currently impacts. One possibility for instance might be that, in addition to its current effect, Luck gives a survivor a percent chance to block or dodge a hit. (I'm not sure precisely what percentage to set that at but it would need to be high enough to occasionally save the player from a hit but not so high that it happens too often.) It could also increase the chance of getting good gear out of chests.

    It would just piss people off more than anything. What would it be? "Crits" on heals and gens would be extremely awful as a killer to have your progress undone by a lucky chain of crits, or would it be an auto dodge mechanic? Again, super super frustrating to lose a game because let's say 2 survivors early game both trigger dodges via luck and make your first two chases take forever/you don't have any real pressure. The only way such a system would be fair would be if killers had "luck" mechanics too and that's also a whole other can of worms. Oh the killer got a lucky crit and you went down instantly would feel awful.

    Getting better loot from chests is a great idea, I think unfortunately luck does not have a place in a game like this, it would either be way too game breaking or way too weak I can't see a great middle ground for luck that isn't basically meme tier builds.

    I don’t think it’s too much to ask it to effect chest searches as well.

    Was going to say the same thing. Higher luck guarantees green and highest is purple or better.

    I would be down with it. I know rng is the boogeyman, but in party games, I feel it can often make things more interesting.

    I think they should remove it as a mechanic for most cases except: for the chance of unhooking yourself, and in map generation. I also believe they should remove all luck offerings except for Vigo's Jar to unclutter survivor blood webs.

    The only other new place I could see it apply outside of the chance of unhooking yourself is in map generation. For example, if a survivor uses a luck offering (which, in my idea the only luck offering would be Vigo's Jar), it increases the chance of certain map generation occurrences, in addition to increasing the chance of unhooking yourself.

    For example, for each X amount of luck offered by the survivors, when the map generates it would have: an X% chance to spawn an extra chest, an X% chance to spawn an extra pallet somewhere on the map, and/or an X% chance for a weaker tile to get upgraded to a stronger tile if applicable.

    Additionally, they could introduce an offering for killers, that, when offered, has a chance to negate these luck based map generation events from occurring.

    Other than that, I don't really want to see any more RNG introduced into the game where it doesn't exist already.

    They will have to rework the chest system. I think it given certain fix % to spawn Brown, Yellow...for total of 100%. Which are perks change the numbers
