Chat Filter is too harsh
Hey there,
first of all, sorry for spelling or grammar mistakes, my english isnt the best.
The point im trying to make here is that the chat filter system is completly horrible... I get that its kinda relevant what you typed before and that the system considers more than just a single word.
What i dont get is that this filters so much of what were typing, that its sometímes just misleading for the person reading it. it sounds much more disrespectful if half of what im written is just "######". For example if i write "Mate you looped him so hard" and the only thing comming through is "Mate you #####_### so hard" it just sounds wrong and i cant even correct myself because its going to filter my correction too. Also some of the filtered words are character names for example one time even Jane Romero got filtered.. i mean come on.
Why is this the case since i began playing 5 years ago? Its such a little detail which makes communicating in a friendly manner so much harder...

The most confusing thing about the filter is when it censors one person but not another for using the exact same word.

The chat filter is nonsensical. I was watching a game on stream tonight for instance and one of the survivors had the user name Bruce Wayne so he typed something like “gg Bruce Wayne” or along those lines and the filter blocked “Bruce Wayne”. It also blocks random things like “YouTube” and I think even names of characters. It’s just bizarre. 🤷♂️

The chat filters are completely bizarre and stupid. They just seem random. And for who knows why, you can't even disable the filter like in a normal-ass video game.

It's the worst chat filter I've ever seen in my life. It's absurd that it's even included in an adult game about torture and murder, in my opinion.
It should just be an option in the settings, to turn it on / off. It's garbage.

It's like you're saying your fridge is broken, but its better to have a broken fridge than none. im frightened to use the chat because of its filtering, im already thinking what will get filtered while typing a message.

You can fill a broken fridge with ice and use it as a cooler. It still is better than not having one.
