In Game Report System now required
Now that you've enabled people to hide their names and take away the ability to get their Steam ID, you've put yourself in the position of now requiring what I've suggested for years now - a truly in-game reporting system so that YOU can automatically pull in both ours, and the offender's Steam ID.
You have taken away our only way to dodge known trolls and cheats so it's now on you to take the report system seriously.
Ball is in your court BHVR.... not holding my breath.

You can still see the info in the "Recent players" tab on Steam (Nothing to do with your suggestion but maybe you didn't know). I like your idea, hiding a SteamID is pointless due to it being pretty public, so there's no problem there.

I'll double check that - I thought I checked that and wasn't able to see it but I'll try it again - still, an in-game report system would be cleaner and avoid the redundant manual task of having to grab that info (including your own). Lazy devs tbh

Ok I checked and you can get to their Steam profile via Recent Players but that doesn't tie a name to a player so if there are multiple Anon players, who was the offender? Again, this needs to be in-game. But ty for pointing out the Recent Players - I thought I had checked that before but you were right. :)
Ball is again in BHVR's court on this if they take reporting seriously.

You can kinda make out who's who, if there's more than one with a private name is more difficult, but useful nontheless

BHVR people have also said here on the forums you no longer need to get their persistent steamID. Just report them after the match and then submit a ticket like usual and they can figure it out apparently.
Which is an improvement honestly, I'm absolutely certain they get a bunch of reports with people giving them the steam customURL that can be changed whenever people want instead of something like steamID64. Report system still needs improvements like it has always needed though.
