How often you take rare items in SoloQ

How often you take something: yellow, green, purple, red, while playing soloQ?

I have been seeing that almost no one use items above brown (my teammates), except those that can't be brown (flashlight, map, key) despite new grind system

A lot. I only play solo, so if I didn't, they'd never get used.

But more often when I am making that last push to Iri 1, or when there's a BP event on, to maximize scores.

And I've definitely started doing it more freely since costs were lowered.

I don't know for full time solo q survivors, but as someone who's mostly in duos, I rarely take any rare items in matches. Only browns or maps.

I'm a bit of a hoarder with a fear of losing good items without getting a chance to use them, so I mostly go either without items or with brown items without add-ons.

(Pretty much the same as killer too, I have a stockpile of green and above add-ons, that I never use just in case someday I might need them more I guess...)

Almost never. Maybe a brown medkit and that's it.

I don't play survivor very often, but when I do I always play Plunderer Ace (Plunderer's Instinct, Open-Handed, Ace in the Hole, and Appraisal). I normally just bring in the cheapest toolbox and addons, use them up right away, and then get new stuff out of a nearby chest and use that up, rinse and repeat.

I don't take ANY items into solo queue.

    That's what chests are for.

Day time I usually take a yellow medkit with bandages, at night i take a brown medkit or nothing. If I have a good feeling i take a green or a purple medkit and even a flan sometimes.

    A lot.

Conversely I go a lot easier in SWF. in SWF I love using my Brown Kits and Brown Boxes or Yellow Boxes.

In solo q I'll take a Brown kit at minimum but ideally I'll take in a green kit. I cant make BT saves without kits.

I'll take the lowest tier item I possibly can if I have a challenge, or just rely on perks like saboteur and blast mine. Might grab a chest item if I'm desperate in the match, but that's usually for a horrific 3-gen, or a key (it's never a key when I need it).

I haven't even been bringing bp offerings since the 6.1 mid chapter patch, it just isn't worth it.

I don't take items usually unless it's for a tome.

I don't take event items because there's no point - They should be skin unlocks similar to cosmetics for each item.

Not too often. Currently I run brown medkits with syringe and gloves and hope for that one great skillcheck so I can get 2 heals out of a brown medkit. But I do that as 2-heal medkits is generally all you need, emergency medkits with 3-4 heals normally never get fully used unless you deny your mates to heal you.

Mostly I try to save rare/ultra rare for challenges or dailes so I can get better chances to quickly get them done in case I dont want to play too many games with a challenge or build I dont really want to play.

On killer side, this totally depends. There are a lot of killers that need rare addons or have fun builds with them like Myers or Wraith, some like on survivors where I mostly save them for challenges (like gen/pallet kick speed with Wraith) or some killers where I barely play them because they are either crap (most Hemorrage or Oblivious addons like Nemi) or the killer has totally fine brown/yellow addons like Wesker or Demo.

never. It's frustrating enough as is, being extra frustrated to have lost a good item to yet another camping / franklings / whatever killer is sth I can do without.

Unless I have a totem challenge, I’ll bring a rainbow map but other than that… I keep the good stuff

Purple and Red items are usually mediocre compared to the green and yellows

I play the full Rare Item Farming build, Plunderer's, Appraisal, Ace in the Hole, Built to Last or Clairvoyance if I want to farm purple medkits or flashlights.

Never bring rare items in SoloQ, you'll just start to lose them after a few matches.

I'm an absolute pack rat for rare stuff, so I only use items of green or below, and will only use purple or higher if I have a White Ward, especially if it's an anniversary or event item.

I never bring items unless it's for a challenge, but if I'm bored I'll bring a green/purple flashlight with addons or Alex's Toolbox with sabo addons.

    Nope.

I'll either don't get to use them because killer brought franklin's, or I will feel bad for using op stuff.

Wait you consider green a rare item ?

Cmon chief, it's not that rare (and that's kinda a problem).

That said I barerly use emergency medkits or comodious toolboxes. Unless archives.

Edit: But also that being said I mostly bring the yellow medkit with bandages and rubber gloves/neddle and thread. Before the Botany Knowledge nerf I'd only need a yellow medkit and the perk but -_-... oh well.

I never bring items unless a challenge requires one. I feel they're just being wasted as it's pretty much guaranteed they are lost. I'm not terrible at the game, but I still have had a grand total of 2 escapes in the last two days. Solo queue is a disaster. I have learned that the only way to enjoy myself is to be drunk and play a troll build with head-on, Q&Q, and flashbang.

I never bring items because I die a lot. Altho I have been bringing many Green Medkits because I've been hunting for that RPD achievement... I think I'm going insane...

Usually only take brown med kit or toolbox, occasionally a yellow medkit with extra charges (so i get two heals out of it) or a yellow flashlight. Green or higher items i will use very rarely, only when running builds that require them or doing some of the more nasty challenges.

Brown medkit w/ two heals or yellow medkit w/ 2 heals & speed. Maybe a brown/yellow toolbox with double charge.

I save the best items for tomes and good items for build synergy. Browns are for when I don't mind wasting an item.

I used to run Pharmacy and Flashbang for free items but Pharmacy is now totally useless.

I am the hoarder type sadly, even tho I have hundreds of every item I still need to "save it for the final boss". I have been using some green toolboxes tho to try out what the hyperfocus build was about and, while really good, I stopped again. The Build works without it + I can't bring myself to see my Add-Ons getting used up haha.

Only for a rift challenge. There are a lot of killers who get upset at survivors bringing in items so I don’t bring them in in hopes they tunnel someone other than me.

    Yes, I’m bad.

Never. I only play solo, so never ever. Except rift challenges.

Often. I don't get the point of hoarding items if you are a mostly solo player. Especially now that everything is so much cheaper. It's not like you aren't going to get more. If everyone brought items it would make the game much easier.
