How come everyone thinks they are better than their solo q teammates all the time?

Please don't think this is an attack, I am just curious of this trend for years now. Not just dbd.

I spectated some of my matches throughout the years and some of my teammates are tons better than me when it comes to looping for example. I am not always satisfied with the decisions some make, some also throw from time to time yeah but to say that I am above all of my solo q teammates would be kinda irrational wouldn't it? I also make mistakes myself.

Why is everyone doing this? I honestly can't even remember seeing someone complimenting their teammates on anything.

If everyone thinks they are better than their teammates think a bit what that means.

Are the emotions getting best of you so you generalise? Are you quick to judge your every teammate or opponents without knowing everything that's happening during a game? Is it just matter of fact of focusing on the negative?

Please also note that I understand when teammates throw or do something that cost you games. I am just curious why does it seems that people think they are above everyone else in the match like 100% of the time. At least from the way I see them speak.

It is like some of you never hold yourself accountable and it is always someone elses fault.

Every. Time.

This also happens in some of the other games, probably even worse when there is voice chat enabled.

Why people?

I personally don't, I know I've screwed up and I own it but a lot of the time some of the things people do are... puzzling.

People also don't tend to recall when they made a mistake or consider it minor compared to when someone else did x/y/z and screwed them over. It doesn't help that many survivor challenges basically read 'throw the game'. For example, had a game where someone cleansed totems without inner healing and was running small game and counterforce while two of us were running boons.

The lack of communication or of intent can be unclear too and makes it difficult to give benefit of the doubt. People are way more likely to recall the time they were left on hook compared to the time someone went miles out of their way and went down themselves to prevent them going second stage.

To be fair as well, I think the way matchmaking works simply means it grabs people at random and equals them out, so players who are more experienced are getting dragged down by newer players.

I don't think anyone actually thinks all their teammates are potatoes and they're the one god amongst men every time (and if they do, KINDA weird).

I've definitely had my fair share of teammates who make me look like the potato throwing the match. And sometimes I actually really am.

But boy, when I notice a bad team, I really notice.

A little denial/deflection, a bit of fundamental attribution error, and a lot of the old Dunning Kruger effect, I think
