Fallout New Vegas: Dead Money Chapter Concept

I understand that Fallout isn't a horror franchise despite its dark elements but the franchises most popular DLC was made as a survival horror break from the main gameplay. And while a relatively niche subject specifically it would be a great way to incorporate a famous franchise in a thematically fitting way.

Power: Old World Remnants


The Elder can switch between three abilities allowing him to make use of either Holograms, Gas Grenades or Bomb Collars. The Elder starts the trial with 6 tokens which can be spent on using his ability. Gain 1 token every 2 minutes.


Special Ability: Gas Grenade


The Elder can spend 1 token to craft a gas grenade. This can be thrown to release a cloud that will deal a health state of damage after 10 seconds of contact. Progress towards losing a health state does not go away until 10 seconds after leaving the cloud. Takes 3 seconds to craft.


Special Ability: Bomb Collar


The Elder can spend 2 tokens to craft a bomb collar which can be attached to a downed survivor. The bomb collar will begin a 15 second countdown when within a 10m proximity of a turned on radio. 2 radios can be turned on at a time and 6 spawn total around different loops in the trial. Survivors can turn off radios requiring the Elder to reactivate them. Bomb collars can be removed by teammates. Takes 5 seconds to turn off a radio. Detonation kills the survivor. Takes 6 seconds to craft.


Special Ability: Hologram Emitter


Costs 3 tokens to craft. Can be placed on solid non prop surfaces 10m away from an exit gate, un powered generator, or hook. Project an AI controlled guard within its line of site up to 10m away that can damage survivors. Holograms move at 115%. Emitters can be permanently destroyed with a 10 second interaction. Takes 9 seconds to craft.


Killer Addons


Ghost Person Cowl: Doubles the area of effect of the cloud but increases the damage timer by 2 seconds.


Cloud Residue: Takes 1 second less for Gas Grenades to deal a health state.


Pre War Money: Increases movement speed of holograms by 2%.


Empty Microfusion Cell: Gain a 2% movement speed increase when no crafted items are in play.


Yangtze Jumpsuit: Receive 30 seconds off your token timer every time a survivor turns off a radio.


Dean’s Secret Stash: Kicking generators removes 15 seconds off your token time.


Dead Man’s Hand: Aura’s of radios, hologram emitters and collared survivors revealed to all survivors within 10m of them. Start the game with 2 extra tokens.


Fission Battery: Gain the ability to spend all tokens to bulk craft items. Cannot craft individual items.


Pressure Plate: Gain the undetectable status effect when you have no tokens.


Fountain Projector: The heartbeats of survivors tampering with hologram emitters and radios are revealed to you.


Sierra Madre Poster: Time to regain a token is decreased by 5 seconds for every powered generator.


Haywire Auto Doc: Collared survivors work like radios to other collared survivors.


Partially Digested Collar: Whenever a bomb collar detonates every other survivor wearing a bomb collar loses a health state.


Ghost Sight: See auras off all survivors within a 30m radius when standing inside a cloud.


Armored Casing: Doubles time it takes to turn off a radio.


Gold Bar: Opening a chest within the range of a hologram will cause it to instantly warp to the survivor and damage them.


Sinclair’s Terminal: Gain the ability to place one hologram near an exit gate.


Begin Again Holotape: When the exit gates open all tokens are instantly replenished and token recharge rate is halved.


Elijah’s Last Words: When the last generator is powered, lose all crafted items regardless if they’re on hand or in play but gain a 1% haste effect for every token expended on them.


Iridescent Casino Chip: Tokens are capped at 3. Receive a token every 30 seconds.


Killer Perks

Coerced Cooperation: If they want out alive they must learn to work together. For every 5 seconds a survivor remains unhooked, a 1%/1.5%/2%  speed penalty for repairing generators.


Begin Again: The realm invites all to start anew. 2/3/4 Survivors begin the trial with their items spawned by a random generator.


Elder’s Wisdom: Generator repair noises can be heard 2/2.5/3 times further away.

Let Go: You have learned to leave your past behind. Dropping an item at the exit gate loses all of an item's charges and grants you a 25% bloodpoint bonus and a 50/75%/100% increase to healing and unhooking survivors.


Watchful Eye: It’s your sworn duty to protect points of value. When standing within 5/7.5/10 meters of an unpowered generator that's at least half way repaired see the auras of the killer. 


Boon: Circle of Steel: Standing within the boon’s radius for 25/20/15 seconds removes all debuffs.
