Moris being removed from perks. (Non gameplay, discussion about themes)

Okay so firstly if you didn't read the title this thread isn't meant to discuss the gameplay effects of removing manual Moris, just the emotional and thematic value that is being lost.

For me personally, I'm very saddened by the loss of manual Moris, and I think either their removal from perks should be reconsidered, or perhaps new perks with Moring should be added, because I think it's significant loss for the experience of the game for one main reason, Corpses.

I love the experience of playing survivor watching your teammate getting killed through their aura, then later on you stumble across their corpse and just get a moment of being faced with their mortality. It's such a shocking visual in a game where most players are getting sacrificed and their bodies are removed from the trail grounds completely, sure, you can always see a survivor is killed by the UI and you might find a broken hook and that's a signal of a murder as well, but that's not even close to the visceral sight of a survivor's corpse laying motionless on the ground. And I think it's just such a shame that the experience of witnessing that scenario is being sacrificed for game flow or balance, it's just gives me the impression that Dead by Daylight is becoming less interesting for the sake becoming a smoother, safer, experience.

Another thing that makes me not really satisfied about the Finishing Mori either is just the automatic nature of it, I understand this is to prevent griefing but I'm doubtful I'll really feel much satisfaction since I don't actually get to execute the action as a player. Again, I feel like dead by daylight is shifting itself to be a smoother experience rather then one I can immerse myself in the actions of my character, and that makes the game feel a lot less engaging to me personally. I know "immersion" has a bit of a stigma in this community, but immersion extends beyond just being a little scared, when you're running from the killer, using your environment to evade and dodge and you're doing just fantastic, fully focused and in a great flow, that's immersion too, and I think that's what makes dbd so fun, so to see immersion stifled in this way feels like something that will hurt the experience, ever so slightly.

One thing I am happy about is the offerings themselves, I'm quite pleased about the bounty idea, I think that's quite fun for both sides, as seeing a killer player throw down a card creates a atmosphere of confidence that survivors may either challenge with their confidence or swallow nervously at what is a direct threat, so that's a good step in the right direction.

In summary, I would just like to see manual Moris kept in for perks, as I think they provide something important for the game, the deliberate act of preforming the Mori and the resulting corpse that is left behind are both valuable elements to the emotional experience ,and that's something that I think is very important to Dead by Daylight's success. The changes to the offerings however are interesting and I do think add something back to the emotional experience, even if I still feel it's a net loss, personally.
