Misinformation About Basekit Unbreakable
Been seeing a lot of people say that perks like unbreakable and exponential will only affect the recovery bar, but not the ability to pick yourself up, stating that it'll always take 45 seconds. This is not true, and unbreakable will allow you to have 22.5 second unlimited pickups, since unbreakable has been buffed to 100% increase of recovery speed. Just been seeing a lot of people spread this info and wanted to show that it's false.
TLDR: Basekit UB is affected by Unbreakable and Exponential

This is nearly at the same level as not requiring timing for flashlight and pallet saves.

Im hoping they'll change this, as much as I'd enjoy 22.5 second infinite unbreakables, I'm sure it'll be pure torture as killer, or especially when I play oni.

Yeah, this is going to need some work.
I think there are ways to make this system fair, but it needs some adjustments. Permanent 22.5s self-recovery is not remotely balanced.

It's also misinformation to say this update is making Unbreakable basekit because UB currently takes just 24 seconds while this update is 45 seconds (and will almost certainly be nerfed, let's be real here). But that's not stopping nearly every person on this forum from saying it, including you.

I think we all say that because it's easier to say. The same way we call the endurance from hook "basekit BT", despite it only having 10 seconds, as well as giving 10 seconds of 10% haste. We just say it because it's easier than saying "basekit self pickup", or "basekit endurance and haste"

No need to change this tbh.
Unbreakable is strong when it comes unexpected. If the Survivor picks themselves up after 22,5 seconds, you know they have Unbreakable, so you will not slug them anymore.
For the rest, 45 seconds take ages.

You're not really gonna be able to see them pick themselves up to learn that info every time though.

Simplest thing to me regarding actual Unbreakable is your get the faster pickup once, then normal pickup (albeit with faster recover speed) after that.

The main problem is that sometimes slugging is unavoidable in certain situations and you make the conscious decision to risk the unbreakable or acknowledge that the survivor will be picked up by a teammate faster. If they have unbreakable, you at least got something from the engagement (you used up their limited time very strong perk).
Exponential makes this infinite, but is balanced mostly by the setup time, the ability for the killer to snuff the boon, and having to go down in the boon. At the same time, I've played a match on Midwich where two survivors had Exponential and I was playing Twins and I would literally release Victor halfway down the hallway, chase them with Victor, down them, and then be unable to actually pick them up because they picked themselves up before Charlotte could get there.
Making it so you can do that, but without teammates, without setup, and without the killer being able to have any counterplay to it might just be a bit too much. Twins is just the most affected by this but it'll be a problem for other killers too.
