The Mori update is gonna make me quit DBD
Honestly, I dont even know how to start... Killer never was really appealing to me because its stressful, annoying and some challenges take ages to do. Moris really were the only reason I would play killers. It's a way to destress for me after a long day. Moris fill me with joy because they are fun to watch. It makes feel a lot more like I'm in a slasher movie than any other aspect of dbd.... but now that I have to actually try and get to the last survivor just ruins that for me. The last survivor can either DC which makes getting a mori a lot harder or even impossible. It really takes the joy of playing killer for me and even of playing survivor. I usually get super excited when I see that mori offering because theres a chance I dont have to watch my survivor get impaled by spider legs again. And dont get me started on those devour hope changes....
Really, whoever thought changing Moris to only one mori never played the game as a slasher fan... imagine watching a slasher movie where only the last person dies by the killers hand and the others just kinda die off screen. Its boring and unappealing.

besides the infinite unbreakable which is broken beyond belief, the worst part is the rancor nerf. Rancor one of the most unique perks in game feeds in to the obsession mechanic so well and fun builds with nemisis of rancor roulette. If they do this rancor is ruined. and it wasnt even a good perk just very fun flavor perk. and devour hope of course did not need nerf either since more often than not it gets destroyed right away before even 3 stacks.

I think it's going to add excitement. I'm really pumped up for the challenge.

Yep, I'm kind of excited for this new update. Nothing imo to quit over since you haven't even played it yet and it's not coming live to the game for a while. Like seriously? A new, epic "FINISH HIM" moment in DBD? Sounds awesome to me.

I'm underwhelmed because its a swing back to DBD being a PVP game over a horror game.
DBD shines as a survival horror but as a PVP experience its kinda meh.
I realize its just a test but its an underwhelming prospect for future DBD.

I disagree, I have a limited time to play at night and people keep just slugging and waiting for timer so any way to get the game rolling im in favor

I wonder if the Dead by Daylight community ever played other games. BHVR is one of the best companies out there when it comes to listening to what their community wants of them. Then BHVR wants to try something new and everyone starts complaining. Maybe try out the new things, then complain about them.

I'm well aware of it, that's why I'm here to call it ######### when those kind of changes come into play.
What's the number one thing people complain about on these forums, sweaty SWF and sweaty killers and their various play styles.
Lets double down and promote more of that at the cost of horror experience, because everyone loves a no fun competitive experience where winning is all that matters.
All PVP is infected with this sadly its the nature of PVP and why I'm not a fan of it.
Guy in COD spinning in circles while spraying a PPSH, MWO "Nascar'ing" etc
Dull mechanics plays. 🤮

I dont know how they thought the automatic ending mori was even close to being a good idea. When i play killer i like being able to decide what to do with survivors. I tend to be a nice killer and give chances if i see the match is a bit rough for the survivors and if theres one left i tend to give hatch unless they were extremely annoying to me the entire match. I like being able to bond with survivors when i play killer. And as survivor i like being able to experience fun and silly moments with the killer that end up with us having a bonding moment in endgame or when its just us. Taking away the ability to choose how to act takes away a big part of the fun from the game. All they had to was add the last survivor mori as base kit and let killer choose if they want to use it and thats it. Im extremely disappointed with these ideas they want to implement.

I hear ya,
Don't get me wrong I'm not "doom saying... its the end of dbd!" or anything like that.
I'm just wary of these changes because they seem like PVP game red flags to me. Changes that can make gameplay more static and tedious over thematic and scary.

This game isn't even close to being scary to me anymore unfortunately.

That'sfine and all butthese changes dont exist in a vacuum; the changes themselves are nice, but the "catch" is what everybody has a problem with. Auto mori and anti 4k slug measures are objectively good changes.

Perhaps they could add a limit as to how many times you could pick yourself up.

Which is supposed to be scary to me, therefore my comment. Because a horror isn't a horror to me if it's not at least a little bit creepy. Which it isn't.

Tbh all Ireally want is for devour and rancor to be left alone Haha. I play killer to be spoopy
I dont have an issue with the ability to pick yourself up or the loss of the mori offering

No where did I say we should avoid making it a horror game. All I did was give my opinion, why can't people on here take it and keep it at that.

I don’t like any changes that force a survivor or Killer to do only one thing and not have the autonomy to play only one way. That is what I’m getting from the anti-slug and auto Mori changes. DBD is only as fun as the options you have to kill as Killer and survive as survivor. Game needs less play interference if you ask me. I don’t want to be forced to do something that I don’t want to do. Or forced to do something because the consequence will change the trajectory of the match.

Even MK doesn't automatically force you into a finisher. taking away player agency is never a good thing.

It's super epic to watch someone dc right as you corner them agreed.
Survivors rarely let you get the last kill.

Yeah but I just said "This game isn't scary to me anymore", and you went on about that I don't think that we should make it a horror game which I don't even care about. And what's better from your own? Why does your opinion have to be better than mine? Yeah let's keep it at that since it seems to be a little difficult.

I don't even know how it works tbh, do you find the survivor and then it triggers the mori? Or do you down them first? Idk.

Imagine... DS + Soul Guard.
You cant pickup, but you have + eat the DS by default.
Congrats, thats something I call broken.

I'm not defensive, it's just funny how you think I can have a wrong opinion, so imma leave you with your thoughts.

You can't correct opinions, I don't know how you think the world works but that's not it. Just because you think your opinion is "correct" doesn't mean others' opinions are wrong. I'm not the one being aggressive here, since you're the one wanting to "correct" my opinion.

I didn't like the idea either, in fact I like the mori system the way it is, when I see that there is mori in the match I start to feel a certain fear, and I love it, if you have mori base kit in every match, take it off the fun, mori don't need to have functions that are not cosmetic, but if they appear all the time it will end up making the games dull, repetitive and boring

My opinion, I always thought that MK should have a condition to use fatalites, to give more honor to those who use them, in the case of DBD I like the current system, they didn't need to change the mori

according to the dev update, it automatically triggers the moment all survivors are in a dying/hooked state. so no option to carry to hatch. no option to hook instead of mori. no chance for survivors running Unbreakable, Deliverance, Boil Over, Power Struggle, Soul Guard, Tenacity, etc. all for the sake of a canned animation that will get really old in a week.
1 -
If you say so 🙄 Have a good day sir/ma'am~

Now that you say it like that, yeahh I can imagine how old the visual will get, hopefully the animation isn't like a minute long... or else that will just be toxic on the dev's part.
