Is it just "solo q" issue or are some of the killers with certain builds too opressive atm?
I admit I only played surv recently so I might be slightly biased, but I feel like surv is kinda rough atm unless you go against killers that don't know what they are doing.
Sure I understand our own mistakes are impactful and teammates who rage quit also contribute to rough experience, but I feel like that is not all anymore.

If you're more new to survivor, its most likely the concept of shared agency. coming from a side where you win and lose based on your own play, the concept of having a large portion of your outcome determined by teammates you can't communicate with can be jarring. The trick to solo q is learning how to be as little of a liability to your teammates at the start, then it turns into learning how to carry bad teammates and prevent their mistakes. As long as you follow that trend and shrug off games where your input matters less than the damage the other survivors cause, you'll notice your outcomes getting better on average until you end up getting matched with other survivors who do the same.

It mostly comes down to the maps imo.
Some builds feel more cheesy because you can combo it with a map offering
For example, Scratch Mirror Myers is a joke strat and is downright suicidal without a map offering.

I really doubt it.
Who thinks it is more fun to counter a Call of Brine and Eruption combo than a game of Ruin where you could stop a 200% retreat by simply destroying the bones?
I preferred the days of Ruin where you could incapacitate people just by doing bones. Now Ruin has become an effect that does not need to be Hex, so no one uses it.

I am not new to survivor nor killer. I just take breaks.

The way you worded it made it sound like you were a killer main who only started playing survivor recently, my mistake. The rest still stands tho, as its basically how to climb out of
ELOMMR hell in this game2 -
There are plenty of powerful things a solo survivor can do; 8 second heals via green medkits, Basekit BT, soon to be 22.5 second infinite unbreakable, 45 second gens via hyperfocus + stakeout + toolbox. Yes, if survivors are bad and do not know how to play or bring proper loadouts/solo queue problems occur then you will lose, but a skilled survivor team will have no problems. Should we be using perkless addonless trapper as an example of killers having a rough time? Solo queue will always be bad, you could give solo perma aura reading and would that help you with a teammate who wants to cleanse 5 totems for a challenge? Or rummage in every chest on the map? Or one who is memeing/running no mither?

Killers are too oppressive. Survivors don't stand a chance unless killers are just bad at the game or they are the 4 best survivors on the planet.

Honestly, no different.

I think I am gonna join you Sluzzy.

That’s right - nobody ever escapes 🙄

I played 4 matches earlier. One was Huntress with a mori that tunneled. 2 were 4Ks with 2 and 3 gens remaining. One was a 3K. Never seen a game as difficult as survivor.

Its okay if Killers play fair, but sure oppressive and barely chance if they tunnel with 4 slowdown.
Im not that good of survivor so at least Im not always vs try hard Killers. My games are alright on both side.

Solo queue in 2022. Hopefully they'll rename the button "Play as Survivor" into "Play as a punching bag" to reduce the confusion. ("Play as Killer" could be renamed into "50-winstreak simulator" since it seems like a sizeable portion of them plays for it)

I think the Call of Brine/Overcharge/Eruption combo is wildly overtuned relative to how much user effort it takes to use. And there's really nothing survivors can do about Eruption in a solo queue environment.
Just my 2 cents, but I vehemently disagree with trying to cater to the lowest common denominator on one side or the other, which is what I firmly believe patch 6.1 did. Right now the killer meta is essentially autopilot IMO. You kick a gen, get a wild amount of regression for it, and survivors are put in timeout for 25 seconds if they're working on it when a teammate goes down.
