Increasing Base MS completely.
I was thinking since so many killers have map traversal what if we increased the base movement speed overall making traveling bigger maps faster for everyone. I'm no game balance expert but if you increase the base 4 to like 5 it shouldn't change chase to much. It's just an idea and I'm not even sure it would work but I wanted to see what others thought.

The thing is increasing base ms by 5 has a much larger impact at loops and a minor impact of traversal.
Like 110 and 115 killers don't have significant difference when it comes getting from 1 side of the map to the other, but the impact of being a 110 and 115 at some tiles in the game is huge.

I think they meant to move from 100% = 4m/s to 100% = 5m/s so it would mostly be fast vaults timings/spacings that would change.

The problem with this is that you would completely screw over ranged killers who have to adapt to the usual survivor MS, even if they are faster as well. Same thing for stuff like Demo's Shred, Pig's Dash, etc. You'd have to basically rework almost every killer in the game. Imo shrinking maps is the way to go.

But the survivor would also be moving faster as well so you will go around the loop faster but with the same distance between the survivor and killer.

See I didn't even think about those. I agree that shrinking the maps would be the best course of action but BHVR refuses to do it or takes a million years to do 1 or 2 maps.

I feel like increasing it enough to actually have a significant impact on map traversal would have too much of an impact on chase/would break the flow of loops and jungle gyms.
The largest maps just need to be downsized. It’s that simple.
