Blood Pact discussion
Continuing a series of threads on the least used perks according to the aggregate stats on Nightlight, next up is Cheryl’s perk Blood Pact (0.17% usage)
Blood Pact - When you or the Obsession are injured, you both see each other's auras. After completing a healing action on the Obsession, or having the Obsession complete a healing action on you, you both gain a 5/6/7% Haste status effect until no longer within 16 meters of each other. Reduces the odds of being the Obsession. If you are the Obsession, this perk deactivates.
On the plus side, this perk does have a decent raw status effect, namely a 7% movement speed buff along with seeing the aura of another survivor. The issue is all the preconditions that come with it. The other person has to be the Obsession, one of you has to be injured, the other one has to heal the injured one, and then after all that you have to stay very close to each other to retain that bonus. All those conditions make this a really niche effect, especially if you and the Obsession aren’t on comms to coordinate it.
Buffing or revamping this perk to be a little more generally useful, especially for solo survivors, might be a good idea. One way to do that might be to ease up on the preconditions. For instance, remove the part about Obsessions entirely and make it so you can see the aura of the closest injured other survivor and if you heal any other survivor you both get a movement speed boost for either a set amount of time or until one of you performs a Conspicuous action. That would allow you to trigger the perk more easily in solo queue and get more use out of it. The only hitch being you do have to be careful with movement speed boosts to not make them too big or last too long, otherwise they can be overpowered.

It's difficult to use on solo, but I guess it can work if you're duo SWF.
I think I saw a youtuber who did it by bringing Soul Guard and For the People and his duo bringing those perks as well, so basically they'd go back and forth on becoming the Obsession. Kind of a cool gimmick.
