Hi, my name is Desola,

I'm just a regular player, no streamer, no content creator and neither do i consider myself a main of either side. I dont run survivor to bully killers or face camp and tunnel on killer (unless they really ask for it with excessive flashlight clicking). I wanted to make this post as an open letter to the Devs

The actual point of this post: i've recently been just trying to work trough the tomes 1 by 1 and found one rift challenge that really is in dire need of an update due to changes.

Tome 2, Page 3 (cant remember the name right now) "Use a key to open the hatch twice"

This challenge is a relic of the past when the hatch would spawn in closed after a number of generators were fixed, allowing for a 4-Man escape without ever opening the gates. The problem is that with the key/Hatvh rework a little while ago the hatch never spawns in closed anymore, meaning its required to be shut when you're the last survivor standing. There is 2 ways to have that happen

A) your squad powers the gates and your mates open them and run out. The Problem: most killers at that stage either guard the gate or give up, not close the hatch.

When will killers usually close hatch? When 3 survs have died before the gates could be powered. Which leads to the most effective strategy for this challenge being to essentially throw the game as survivor, avoid the killer for the entirety of the game till your whole team is dead, wait for hatch to be closed and go look for it to unlock it while the killer patrols the gates to find you.

Its fairly clear in my eyes that this is a problem since many people will try to play the most efficient way to finish whichever challenge which in this case leads to miserable experiences for multiple players in the same match on at leadt 2 occasions.

My proposal to fix this?

Plainly, just replace the challenge with another like escaping through hatch or the sort. Any attempt to fix this without changing the challenge would require a new hatch rework (like: hatch spawns in closed when the engame triggers and only actually opens when only one survivor is left) or something like a perk that lets you open the hatch without key.

I know there is more pressing issues like cheaters but i think a small fix like that would be nice
