How do i lower my MMR (not that it works) so i don't get insane teams.
So I play a lot of killer. Well I only play killer but its got to the point were I'm constantly going up against 2k+ hour survivors nearly every match (for reference i'm currently at 690 hours). Even the console players I'm going against are prestige 50+ meaning they have a ton of hours in the game to get to that level.
Now I assume that my "MMR" as killer has hit the soft cap but how on earth do I lower it.
The system is supposed to lower it if you lose and raise it if you win but as they don't stop your MMR level when you hit the soft cap it takes an insane amount of games to lower it to a point that you get players on your level.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm not asking for a walk in the park game where I can 4k at 5 gens but I would like a fighting chance. instead of the same lobby of players who have 2k+ hours all bringing the same meta builds to slam gens.
So my question is what can I do about this. I can't exactly just AFK a ton of matches because thats a bannable and i don't really wanna have to go thru match after match just losing every match not having fun for hours at a time because at that point whats the point of even playing this game.
I honestly think that if the devs want to have a "cap" of sorts on MMR then don't let us go past that. The way I believe it is currently working (and please correct me if im wrong) is you reach the cap for actual matchmaking but you still earn MMR infinitly however you will be matched with players (supposed to) that are at the cap regardless how far over they are.

I appreciate the shot at us Console players.

It wasn't a shot at console players at all. It was simply the fact that we can't see console players game time the only number we have to go off is prestige. And as prestige = playtime then its safe to assume that if a console player has 40 - 50 prestige levels they have a ton of hours in the game.

In terms of your actual point, you lower it by losing.
Evidently, you got to that point for a reason. I'd personally recommend you don't ruin other people's games, but I am literally unable to stop you from smurfing.

There isn't really a way to reliably lower it. You would have to lose a huge number of games in a row to change MMR brackets (we're likely talking in the hundreds).
The best thing you can do is keep focusing on improving little by little. Eventually those insane teams aren't insane at all.

AFAIK it's not against the rules to play badly/sub-optimally. Just start playing without perks and go for 12 hook games without camping or tunnelling and you'll either lose enough games to get more manageable survivors or you'll get good enough at tracking, chasing, and macro gameplay to handle strong survivors

See this is where the game fails. If you raise to high they make it next to impossible to go back down to a level you should be. Losing games constantly sounds horrible. just going to a match knowing i have to lose every game to get my MMR down to the bracket I should be.
This is a reason i liked the old match making system. Matched based on ranks not on a number that we can't see or control. At the very least revert everyone's MMR each month by x amount below the cap or have the option to lower it once a month.
Yeah i get what your saying that I got to the point im at for a reason but there was a time I was 3/4king every match because I happened to get SWF that had 3 new players and 1 really good player.
I do hope that they re-look at this match making system as honestly if you play even semi casually you will eventually be at the top MMR level without even trying.
Side not @Pulsar I have nothing against console players infact i commend you guys for playing on controller as you have such a disadvantage because how the keybinds work. However I did just complete a game against 4 console players who spam clickied flashlights, Tbagged after every pallet drop and let's not forget the insane tbaging from all of them at the exit gate.
Again nothing against console players just found it funny that i literally just got 4 console players who acted like 5 year olds XD

You shouldn't be 4K'ing in most of your games. That means that you aren't in the correct MMR bracket. Technically speaking, you should be getting 2K's on average.
Also, there's literally a group of Xbox players who boot me off anytime I load into a lobby with them. Some people are #########.

Literally 4K or die. That’s what the stakes are.

I completely agree. There shouldn't be a 4k every match and I don't go into a match thinking im gonna get the 4k. When I mentioned me getting 3/4ks a lot it was due to the fact that the matchmaking put me against 3 not so great players and 1 great player. No matter how good 1 person is if the rest of the team arn't as good the killer is gonna have an easy time.
Also doesn't matter if its console or PC players. some people in this game are toxic regardless which is why i have no hate towards either....Unless they are a leon...all leons need to be sacrificed :)
