Can we get BP bonuses for playing as certain killers?

So I was thinking - since we get matchmaking incentives now to push us to play roles that currently need more backfill, I was wondering, why can’t we get matchmaking incentives that reward extra BPs for playing as a specific killer?

Say for instance, Demogorgon hasn’t had much play lately, so they push out an incentive to play a match as them? I think it would be a good way to bring a bit more killer diversity than just daily rituals. Plus this could be changed every hour or so to keep thing feeling a little less stale and repetitive.

Not sure if anyone’s mentioned this prior so apologies if they have. What do you all think? Can we make this happen please?

I get where you are coming from, but I don't think we'll see this, as it doesn't benefit matchmaking overall, which is the whole point of the incentive.

But I wouldn't mind seeing a broader array of killers (but not all of them; some of the ones I never see I'd rather keep that way).

As for Demo specifically, we're going to see less and less of him as new players come in, and older players move on. That is unless ST comes back, of course.

I know what you mean, but a perfectly balanced game where every killer is as viable as the next isn’t going to happen. There’s always going to be the killers that will out perform others - that’s just down to the design of the game, killers and perks. Far too many variables that can’t just be changed on their own.

I mean, I’d play a Hag match for X3 bloodpoints, even if it might not be the best. Too many killers think anything less than a 4K merciless was a failure. I want to play the game for fun, not get shoe-horned into playing as only 3 killers with the same perks - same rationale with the meta perk shakeup - they’re trying to push for more diversity and more mixed gameplay which I totally welcome.

Could they not compound the matchmaking bonuses though? So maybe there’s currently 100% on for killer, but then there’s another 100% added on for if you play as Demo - something like that? The incentive to backfill the role is still there, and it may make people more likely to go out of their comfort zone?

Ah yeah that’s true, maybe Demo was a bad example. I’ll always be there trying to prop up the play rate though.

I mean they certainly could, but given the bumpy ride it was getting the current version working as intended, I doubt they'd bother.

Plus if we're talking broadly, people playing at higher MMR aren't going to use weaker killers regardless. That extra BP doesn't hold as much value when you're getting stomped. So you'd really only see this have any effect at lower MMR.

All that said, I'd still be in favor of it, generally speaking.

you can give me as many BP incentives as you'd like, but that won't get me to play matches that require me to use killers i simply do not want to play as (Twins, Freddy, Nurse, etc)

The problem is ultimately that if survivors have incentive boost and specific killers have an incentive boost, why would people pick survivor for the bonus bp?

The issue with this is where do we stop, do we attach incentives to perks next? Running off meta gets you more BP?

Can you imagine the incentives on them though? Easily 500-1000%, lol

As long as they leave the general boost, I'm always good for extra BP.

But I'll never play Hag. I can't stand how absolutely dreadfully boring she is on both sides

Sounds like a cool idea. Be nice to see a bit more variety with killers. And maybe a bloodpoint penalty to playing nurse 🤣

But in all seriousness i like this idea, i see a lot of the same killers over and over. And almost never see twins, artist, demo etc
