Survivor's Unhooked Endurance duration should increase the longer the killer "idled" near the hook.
Title. Additionally, If the killer has been near the hook for 10 seconds the unhooking survivor (that has been in the hook area for atleast 5 seconds) also gains Endurance status effect.
Whenever the killer moves away from the hook area for atleast 3 seconds straight he/she can decrease the BONUS endurance duration of the survivor at a faster rate when staying out of the area.
This does not apply when there are 2 survivors left in the trial or the exit gates are opened.

How big of an area are we talking about? If a survivor is looping a killer around the hook then that is the survivors fault for not leading the killer away.

Y’all just keep on reaching for more. Greedy greedy survivors. Lmao

I dont wanna be an a$$ but is the 10 second base kit with 110% move speed not enough for you?
6 -
Yes! Please yes. This is a really smart change, doesn't even effect killers who aren't camping. Hopefully a Dev sees this

I don't like this as a basekit idea, but as a perk it would be a nice perk to have. However, there should also be a caveat that this effect does not increase endurance if a survivor also is within a set radius.

Biggest problem is survivor(s) going to contest the unhook in view of the killer. A single survivor is more manageable, but multiple isn't as much so.
If this effect works then if survivors enter the area the effect lessens. Makes it so it puts them in this situation "you have endurance, get the unhook or lose it".

This is complicated and unnecessary imo.
If a killer wants to camp and tunnel, they will, but the 10 second basekit + increased speed boost has been more than enough to allow the tunneled survivor to get to another tile and loop.
If they can't do that, it's a skill issue on their end.

If multiple survivors are in the area it means they are not doing gens which is a win for the killer.
True, that could work.
From the amount of forum posts about killers that camp and tunnel nowadays, apparently it isn't enough.
1 -
I'm convinced if they made OTR base kit today there would still be basically the same number of people complaining about tunneling.
2 -
But what is "near"?

Survivors could just use Off The Record? You get endurance for literally 80 seconds (just don't do any conspicuous actions), unless the exit gates are powered. Dead Hard works too if you can time it correctly and can be used after the gates are powered.

This is why DS is going to be basekit soon.

Don't know. I'm not good with numbers. Probably something like 12-16 metres.

And I’ll still smack you off the hook and watch you run off to mend. Now what? Lol.

That seems more like a "I'm going to ruin people's game by camping, no matter what Behaviour throws in my face" problem.

Damn, i haven seen you and your trusted status in quite a while.
And no wonder judging from your last 10+ comment history being spread across the whole last year since you were more active.

Yeah i just hop in once in a while.
Hard to be here consistently when stuff gets added and changed and everyone talks about it but you're out of the loop by choice.
Anyway this time i'm just gonna stick around for as long as my discussion gets attention.
Also how ya' doin'?! 🤩

This doesn't seem like it would actually fix much. If the killer is camping, it doesn't matter how long your Endurance last; they can hit you straight off hook and it's gone. Now what?
Also, giving Endurance to the unhooker just lets survivors force no-win situations by looping or hiding near the hook and moving to unhook once they can be guaranteed it'll make them invincible.

Crushed from my loss of bbq BP rewards as a form of in-game goal, left the game last December, just lurking around on the forums for entertainment and still spreading the glory of our lord and saviour Lightborn 😎

Oh i heard Flashlights can no longer go clickety-clickety

Hey, Boss. What do you think about "near" mean 0.5 - 1 meter distant from the hook?
0 -
No it’s more of a “tunneling and camping are part of the game so get over it” type of problem. There’s nothing you can do to stop a killer who wants to tunnel/camp. You are supposed to finished gens as fast as you can and then take the trades/body blocks once the gens are done. If you can’t manage a 3 out against a killer who literally face camps, that’s a skill issue on your part.

I think that that's pretty damn nearby.

Bandaid perks are not a solution. We need basekit features since a killer doesn't need a perk to camp.
0 -
It's not meant to be a bandaid perk - it's suggesting the idea OP had would work better as a perk than a generalised mechanic as it offers a niche setup.
