Would you Buy Gender Swap Skins of Existing Killers?

I would absolutely be on board with that. Imagine a male version of the artist, instead of a sharp and shrill shriek you hear a more dull and feral version of it with each bird placed.

Obviously I am in love with the idea of Dredge having a female form using beautifully painted masks or mannequins for figure and form.

A female trickster would be insanely popular, as would a male Nurse.

How about a female Frank or a male Susie? Seems a bit silly at first but the Legion must grow in some way I suppose.

Hell, there wouldn't need to be any lore for it it could just exist in a vacuum for us as fans to figure out how we want it to make sense. If that isn't enough it would be a super easy way to add some level of body diversity to the cast as well. We could get a barefoot female clown or a spindly male hag. Bam, easy peasy character design.

I'd even be down for that for licensed killers too. Let's get a Pyramid Mommy or have John Kramer himself pick up the reverse bear traps.

I love this idea, and would unashamedly spend money on cosmetics that let me visually express my desires while keeping close to my favorite playstyles. Anyone else? Which gender swap killers would you get excited for?

Exactly like Legion. Honestly I'm not sure how compelling having gender swap legions would be but I laughed at the idea of having 10 members of Legion so I threw it in there.

No. It completly devalues the character. Michelle Myers does not exist... If you say yeah you're right Myers can't be gender swapped then you have to apply the same principal to every other killer, especially Licensed killers.

You could possibly do a female Ghostface if it wasn't for the fact that DbD's GF is a brand new male character with his own back story. You'll have to rewritte the characters backstory years after he's existed to fit a new secondary killer that can be female so that you can sell a female GF skin but even then you're probably gonna have to get aproval from the FunWorld still.

Legion is fine because their concept already incorporates this, most every other killer doesnt. Female Blight or Male Artist won't work unless you reestablish the characters backstory.

You can't just go around genderswapping things just because you feel like it. Where's the context? SO if people want a shirtless Myers skin can we gender swap the shirtless Myers skin and have half naked Female Myers?

You're playing James Sunderland NOT JANE SUNDERLAND. Gender swapping is making something that is originally one gender into the other. You're not playing MIchelle Myers you're playing Michael Myers because Michelle doesn't exist and it won't make sense for her to exist.

You're not playing Male Ada Wong or Female Albert Wesker you're playing Ada Wong and Albert Wesker, you're not playing MALE Jill Valentine, you're playing Jill Valentine.

Lore is important especially for Licensed characters you won't just go around and make gender swapped skins out of the blue without contacting the License holders.

You can do a Female version of Pinhead because that exists within HellRaisers lore but you're still going to need clearence from the license holders because you're going to be basing that Female character on pre existing character.

Yes I understand that there are licensing issues, that's why I only mentioned those characters at the end with a preference toward in house killers. I would never suggest BHVR just reads this thread and go, 'Oh yeah Kara had a great idea. Quickly art team! Draft us up a Hell Priestess, no not the real one! Just Pinhead but female. Nobody tell Clive Barker.' I don't believe BHVR will decide to expand licenses for that in reality but it's nice to dream and I'd like to have a productive conversation about that as a fun hypothetical.

Probably not. I would buy the Original Meg, Claudette and Jake skins tho.

I wouldn't unless it was actually funny, like what Angry Pug did with his Meg costume.

Imagine a relatively meaty/big boy who's fairly hairy and has a big, manly beard, running around in a miniskirt and crop top. lmaoooo

I would too for my favourite survivors. Laurie is licensed so obviously off the table but I reckon a killer Kate would be terrifying. I keep getting ideas in my head that I've got to start writing down!

Yep I would, female Trickster, female Trapper, male Hunter.

I wouldnt buy them because I dont buy cosmetics but its not a bad idea if done right and the genderswaped versions maintain the essence of the Killer.

For example, Clown is a disgusting, dirty, morbidly obese, greasy and overall revolting person, the female version should be on the same level of grossness instead of the usual genderswapped fanarts where ugly people become sexy after swaping the gender. A male version of Hag should also be an emaciated frail looking man etc.

If something like this comes to be, most licenses are not going to be genderswapped, especially Myers and Freddy whose holders are hard to deal with.

Obviously I am in love with the idea of Dredge having a female form using beautifully painted masks or mannequins for figure and form.

isn’t Dredge specifically referred to with neutral pronouns instead of male ones?

but yeah, I guess they could create more female based dredge costumes, they have great potential for literally anything

I can see that with the new Pinhead. It won't work for every killer tho.

Wait karu multiverse is canon in Dbd?

Well screw a it every argument against genderswap has now lost it wight when it comes to original Characters atleast. You always have that one universe where everything is the same except for genders and we often have Universes where good and bad are swapped bhvr should go for it.

And as long as it's just skins for example no one gets hurt otherwise the blight skins from Halloween are a problem to cause trapper would need to be a raging beast know

Maybe there can be an original trans killer that has skins of the killer before and after transition. That would be cool.
