Killer Idea: The Surrealist
Killer idea. Name: The Surrealist. Power: Duality. Can be used whenever the player pleases, you tap to enter and tap to leave. Move slightly slower than Windstorm-Mud on wraith as base move speed. Removes blood pools, scratch marks, survivors, and generators from vision. Gives Undetectable and changes The Surrealist’s body to an amalgamation of smoke, tar, blood, and bones, which only appears randomly and briefly. While using Duality, a black veil covers you from seeing past 24 meters. Any object within has its edges highlighted in white, and the rest covered in a foggy gray, not see-through. Survivors within the veil have their vision covered with the killer’s veil and gain the Blindness status effect. Survivors also receive the heartbeat when the killer is facing them. When The Surrealist is within 16 meters of a survivor, Footstep audio and breathing replaces all audio for 6 seconds. The audio is on a delay of 0.8 seconds. When The Surrealist is within 24 meters of a generator being repaired, it highlights in white. It takes 1.2 seconds to return to normal. Gain a 15% haste status for 0.8 seconds after reappearing. Depending on how much time you use the power, the power is put on cooldown for anywhere in between 6-18 seconds.
Iridescent Add-on One: Purity. Removes ability to cancel. Removes all types of aura reading. Lets you see scratch marks. Duality now lasts for a set 8 seconds, and grants Exposed status to anybody within the veil. All survivors suffer from Exposed for 8 seconds after leaving. Flavor text, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.”
Iridescent Add-on Two: Madness. Grants ability to see survivor’s outline. Hitting a survivor after leaving grants them three random status effects. Removes audio, and all gens go white gradually revealing the progress as they get a deeper shade of red. Their aura obviously comes back while using Duality. Flavor text, “As he bled out in front of his jealous workers, he laid his head back. He smiled, a black void covering his vision.”
These two add-ons cannot be used together.
The Surrealist’s perks revolve around introducing new obstacles and preventing survivors from securing themselves.
False Sense: When a generator is completed, 2 pallets are randomly broken for 60, 75, 90, seconds. You see their aura in white. If multiple generators are completed, more pallets are removed after the current ones respawn. All generators on the map are blocked for 8 seconds additionally. When the last generator is completed, all survivors suffer from Blindness for the rest of the match, and debuffs recover 25% slower.
Broken Spirit: One survivor is chosen to be the obsession. They see all other survivor’s aura whenever you hook a survivor. Each time you down somebody besides the obsession, all interactable objects within 32 meters are blocked for 8,12,16. This perk’s secondary effect can be activated by downing two survivors within 45 seconds. The next time you hook a survivor, the effect repeats for 15 seconds. Survivors know when this perk afflicts them.
Learning Curve: During a chase, a timer begins. This timer can last a maximum of 20,25,30 seconds. When you leave/end the chase, gain a 5% haste effect for X(amount of time)/2. If you chase for the maximum amount of time or more, the secondary effect of the perk activates. Upon starting your next chase, all windows and pallets within 16 meters are blocked for 5 seconds.
