So BHVR quitely nerf Wesker
Firstly I saw on the Wiki was that the survivor no longer had the 5% hindered, only 8% left while fully infection. I went to check with friends - and really, there is no slowdown anymore.
I'm ok with that, because I guess it wasn't too fair. But I'm not okay with having 12! sprays on the map.
I play a lot on both sides, but even more I watch the game content while I'm working. For all the time since Wesker release, I have seen only 2 matches in which all 12 sprays would be used. So this amount looks like is nothing but a joke to me.
If his passive part of the ability now does nothing and is not able to create any pressure on the survivors, it seems to me it would be fair to reduce the number of sprays to 8. And maybe add 10-20 charges to maximum infection level, so that it will not too oppressive and force survivors to spend sprays more carefully

They didn't quietly nerf anything, Wesker was always like that.

Well, yes, it's easier to go in and write a meaningless comment that you're not sure about than to do fact-checking. I wrote this post for fun, right?

if anything they should remove the hindered sweetheart

What are you talking about? The only thing that's changed from Wesker's release state is hitbox improvements and some debugging with his slam/throw collision.
Wesker has never hindered you while partially infected. And there are 12 sprays so that Wesker doesn't get permanently Hindered survivors by playing normally, and has to drop a lot of successful chases in order to get such a powerful debuff on the enemy team forever.

Wesker was released where infection only grants 8% hindered when fully infected.
There's no stealth nerf here.

There was never a slowdown prior to being fully infected.
It said 5% on the wiki at one point during the ptb but that was never actually a thing. Probably some leftover part of his power or something that wasn’t implemented.
The number of sprays is fine, it shouldn’t be easy to run out of them given what full infection does.

OP literally making stuff up.

ok lol

Doesn't change that his official release into live servers never included that which is all that matters

Don't blindly trust wiki's
They are not an official DbD site
They were wrong about TotH numbers too for months

But, well, there is quite a bit of information that is not available in the game, so I can understand why you would want to look up more details about those things on the wiki.
I just recently gained some knowledge about Sadako's TV image changes. It's not explained in the game, is it?
I think trying to research and gain knowledge is better than making accusations without researching, and since the wiki isn't complete, it's great to hear from the kind and knowledgeable people on the forum.

Wiki is fan-made, don't take their words as truth.

Regardless of what someone wrote in the wiki (which isn't an official site), it was never a thing in PTB or live. So they didn't change anything.
2 -
Maybe he was designed that way at some point before the PTB release and the wiki team somehow found those old files about Wesker. There was never anything like that in PTB/Live. I know DbD Wiki is usually very helpful and reliable, but they can make mistakes too.

I personally never trust a Wiki since anyone who has access to it can make changes whenever they feel like it. If someplace isn't a official site I don't put much trust into it.

You must wrote this post for fun because you trust a Wiki as fact. Wikis can be changed by anyone who has access to the login info for the Wiki, meaning Tom, Dick and Harry each can write or change anything on it.

Wesker never had the hindered effect on partial infection. First it never shows the status effect on survivor side until fully infected, that is already the giveaway that it never worked like that. Second, when Wesker was on PTB, people asked if you get hindered when partially infected and someone at bhvr (dev, community manager, not sure who) confirmed that the hindered only applies on full infection.
So no, Wesker was not nerfed, the hindered is working as intended

There have been no recent changes to Wesker since his release, there were some changes from the PTB - but these were adjustments to the catch zone on the survivors and it's a buff not a nerf.
The sprays do indeed add pressure regardless of how many of them are, they are a natural slow down to the game as survivors will want to avoid the hindered effect as it slows them down in a chase so they will get off generators to actually use a spray...those that choose to risk the hindered effect are a lot easier to catch.
The hindered effect has only ever been on full infection, nothing has changed with this.

The infection/sprays does its job pretty well if you ask me, it provides passive game slowdown, what else do you want? I don't think it is actually meant to accomplish the critically infected point at all, it's just to give the survivor a reason to cleanse.

The wiki datamines its numbers. If you look into the files yourself, you'll see that Wesker does in fact have a 5% and an 8% Hindered effect. Judging by their naming, the 5% were meant to apply when a survivor was infected and the 8% once they were critically infected.
However, what the wiki didn't know at that time, simply because numbers without their context can only tell you so much, that distinction wasn't in use on the PTB, only the 8% when critically infected applied. So OP is not wholly wrong on this one, it did exist at some point during development. But it did not make it to the players at any point.
Nevertheless, where OP is in fact wrong is in insisting it was somehow nerfed, and in not reading the wiki properly. I remember the wiki page had a big disclaimer during the PTB that any information on Wesker's page was to be taken with a grain of salt, as the stuff was datamined and not complete. That is on OP.
In case anyone wonders where I know this from, I've DMed one of the wiki admins and asked them if the screenshot posted earlier was real or fake.
@VikingDragonXii That may be true for some wikis but definitely not the Dead by Daylight one. Its admins monitor edits quite closely and if you put false information on there, it's swiftly removed. They do take pride in keeping the wiki as accurate as possible.

Yes, I remember seeing this same thing about the -5% hindered on the wiki (either during the PTB period or right at launch). However, I immediately realized that it was WRONG when I played against Wesker, so thankfully it was fixed on the wiki. It was either an error by the wiki authors or something that was no longer present when Wesker launched.

To be fair, the wiki is right a lot more often than it’s wrong. But yeah, in this particular case the original entry for Wesker was either wrong or from an early test build or something.

The original entry was from Datamined numbers iirc. The Hindered before Critical Infection was a disabled feature that never made it into any playable build.

It was never a thing.

looking at previous patch notes since 6.1 and upcomming patch notes, looks like every killer is slowly getting nerfed, and survivors buffed. My guess is that we will end up in a pre 6.1 situation once bhvr are done.

was never like that on live servers

You know being hindered is really significant, right?
8% when fully infected is like going against a 123% movement speed killer. No wonder the 5% never made it just for successfully grabbing a survivor, which let's be honest, doesn't take a lot of rocket science to do.
