Official kill rate stats from the devs
FYI The devs just posted an updated official kill rate summary for all killers below
Some random off the cuff thoughts
- The two charts represent all games across all players and games involving killers in the top 5% of MMR (which is probably basically the people over the MMR soft cap of about 1600). So in a really rough sense the all games chart shows kind of how the killers line up in average games while the 5% chart shows how they line up for high level players
- Wesker is currently in the top bracket on both charts, this might quell some of the posters who continue to claim he’s a “worse Demogorgon”. Dredge and Plague appear to be the number two and three killers in that they are the only other killers that both appear in the top three kill rate brackets. Personally I’m not surprised that Dredge is this high since they have both exceptional map mobility and very good stealth during Nightfall, and it’s a form of stealth during Nightfall that is more swf resistant than typical Undetectability because of the lower vision radius and quick teleports. (They do have some antiloop as well which probably doesn’t hurt either, but my guess is the teleporting and stealth are the big factors.)
- I’m also not surprised Sadako is in the top bracket of the All Matches chart since, like Dredge, she has very good map mobility and excellent stealth. What does surprise me a bit is how high she is in the 5% chart, I figured she’d be slightly closer to Wraith. If I had to guess though I think this might be because the top Sadako players apparently do an amazing job at juggling Condemned stacks to put a ton of pressure on survivors to deal with that instead of working gens or face an early instant kill. In tournament play for instance it sounded like Sadako has made some solid showings doing a Condemned stack strategy, so it’s definitely possible she’s being underrated by a lot of people on the forums who continue to put her in the bottom tier.
- Not surprisingly Nurse has maybe the widest gap between the two charts, being the worst killer on the All Matches chart and an above median killer in the 5% chart.
- With only one exception (Pinhead) all the killers in the top 4 brackets on the 5% chart have good mobility powers. Pinhead is also in this group, and technically he can teleport too, but I think his benefit here is more of mapwide pressure from Chain Hunts than that.

Marking Wesker as a worse Demoboy is downplaying his infection by a mile. Wesker who can hit his ability often will have a pretty descent slowdown on their side without using any perks. Also the vaulting ability is very strong when used correctly. There is a good skill ceiling to him.
Plague does not have any mobility. However I would argue that the Killers at the top level are those who most certainly benefit from a uncoordinated team. Dredge who gets the first hit and triggers a quick Nightfall, Plague who feeds of a bad cleanse to snowball, Oni who gets first blood and transforms it into two downs or Cenobite who gets a chainhunt because nobody did the box. All those things are the result of to little communication. And this lack of communication makes those Killers so strong.
The other side are good Killer players. People who have more than a thousand hours into the game can benefit from good mobility and a bit of stealth with ease. They know when and where they need to be, which lets them play Killers like Freddy or Sadako to a big success.

Can´t wait for the "nerf Onryo and buff Nurse" threads. Thats going to be the new meme!

I never anticipated the killer rates would look like that, who would have thought Onryo would have better kill rates than even Nurse its all so bizarre to me lol. Like I never thought they would be in the same tier in the top 5% never in a million years.

Actually Sadako and Nurse have the same kill rate in the 5% MMR bracket alongside some other killers. Nurse is only really low on the All Matches chart, presumably because of her learning curve.

Yeah, I corrected myself. Apologies; I misread that wrong. I have a reading problem and have to reread things several times.

I hear you, I do that myself!

Yeah, it sucks having dyslexia, how embarrassing, thank you for understanding.

I do find it funny that the ones with high kill rates are the ones that people generally say are "strong v solo but weak against swf." Guess there's way more solo players than people think if those "strong v solo, weak v swf" killers have such high kill rates. 😂

There definitely are a lot of solo only matches, when devs have released numbers before on that it’s something like 50-60% of matches are all solo survivors, and 25% have only a 2-person swf which is basically not much different from a solo match.

Yeah, I remember those stats from couple years ago. 4SWF was only something like 3-4% of matches. Wish they'd do them again especially since they broke them down between Steam, PS4, and Xbox. Would be great to see them now and with the additional platforms they've added to the player queue.

Yeah it would be interesting. On a side note I think the escape rate bonus for swf probably is about the same, back in the old stats I think the 4-person swf had a +12% or so bonus and earlier this year the devs mentioned at some point that the maximum bonus for swfs was about 15%.
