Charm split WHY

Does anyone else wish all charms were for both killers and survivors? I don’t get the point of splitting them up.

maybe because some charms are only recognizable in a certain size or no longer look good.

just out of curiosity. does anyone look at other players' charms?

I mean, I don't really care much personally but yes, I am also confused as to why the charms are split by role.

Like, yea I get that the original goal was to make it so that Killer charms were more fitting with the whole 'horror' tone that DbD's going for, while Survivors were allowed to have more wacky charms.

But like, I also think it's clear we've passed that point long ago - you can spruce up your hooks with gnomes, spaceships, colorful perk icons, holiday decorations, goofy looking zombie bunnies, and 99 variations of the Trapper mask.

So yea, I don't get the continued separation of charms by role.

Tangentially related, my main gripe with charms is that there are SO many with no real way to search through them or sort them.

I only really use the pride flag, so it's not much of a nuisance for me personally, but I hate to imagine what it's like for people who DO like to accessorize with their charms.

Charms for survivors are pointless anyway to be honest. I never notice other players charms and only see mine when I'm equipping them. But I do agree splitting them is annoying.

For survivors I think a cool idea would be to have them hanging from gens, so you'd have all 12 charms decorating a gen. Nothing special but would give you something to look at for 90 seconds.

I also thought a cool idea for killers would be if you could decorate the basement. Hang ornaments on the walls, change the textures of the floor and walls etc...

They should be for both sides, the separation is unnecessary.

"Am I the only dbd player who don't give a single "esh" about charms, and don't even pays attention on who's wearing which one...?"

I might sound really rude here, but... I think if behaviour remove charms from a game, (as someone said...) no one will even notice it. xD

I don’t use charms at all for either role. Just no interest.

Yh i wish they were available for both. No idea why megcrow and mini frankenstein are locked to killers and survs respectively. I'd love to put megcrow on meg and a frankenstein charm is almost made for doctor.

A killer's charms, yes, but I never really notice survivor charms.
