Legion

Can a higher rank survivor please tell me how the hell to go up against Legion? I have had 7 matches today where not one generator has been repaired. I know that you can't have more than one or he can find you. However with that being said 3 of my matches I was alone on my generator and he magically knew where I was even though I was across the map. Does Legion get an add on that allows to see survivors no matter what?

Most are running discordant corrupt sloppy and jolt. Add ons none. I'm getting to the point where I want to throw my controller cause every match I have against a Legion it is 100% fail.

I have learned not to heal and I try to get distance but if I don't heal he downs me and I don't drop pallets as I'm terrible at looping so I save those for those who can. No matter what I do I get downed 🥺

Spreading on gens is super important. Don't bother healing, Don't group up.

The ideal scenario is you bait him to the other side of the map and force him to use his power or down you in narnia. Rinse and repeat.

Always 99% your mend until his power is finished.

I didn't know about the 99% thing I'll have to try that.

Something I often see as a Legion main is people go crazy at the start of the game to deny frenzy hits and waste really good pallets they could need when I chase without frenzy or they run like hell after they got hit but there are other survs that aren't hit.

Stay calm don't value your first healthstate to much legion will take it from you and when you are the first in a frenzy chain just 99 the mend and keep working you are mostly invisible to me cause all the other survs have a big red loud mark on them

There’s a Legion daily right now, it’ll die down.

If he’s hitting one of your teammates while in feral frenzy, he sees your heartbeat, that’s how he’s finding you.

    1. Split up
    2. 99% mend bar until frenzy ends so he can’t get 2 hits on you
    3. split up
    4. Don’t be afraid to stun him in a frenzy. Literally camp the pallet until he swings through and take the hit to stop him chaining it
    5. Split up

If you are not good at looping try some training wheels: Windows of Opportunity is a fine perk to help you localize windows and pallets, Sprint Burst helps you to get to a loop in the first place and many more.

Do not be afraid to throw pallets sometimes, but do not go for the stun. This gets more true if you are dead on hook. Your team can deal with less pallets but it can not deal with only 3 people remaining. Only safe the really strong pallets for somebody else if you feel like it, you can safely throw some filler pallets during a chase.

Overall your issue sounds more like a general problem with M1 killers and looping. Only practice will help you here.

The other way would be to play a more stealthy game: Take "Fixated", take "Off the Record", maybe "Boon: Shadowstep" or even "Spine Chill". Take dark clothing (no, you do not need Claudette, other survivors can be quit stealthy too) and go for hiding when the Killer comes for you.

The goal is to wast time for your team. You can do this by looping but also by hiding. An important skill is to know when to do which of these (for normal players like us at least). If the Killer wasts 30 seconds searching for you and another 10 to chase you, you did a good job.

As someone has said before, when Legion hits someone while in frenzy, they will hear your heartbeat if you're somewhat within their terror radius. Legion has great built-in survivor detection, but if they're on the other side of the map, you can actually outrun them.

Keep in mind also that any missed attack while in frenzy makes them recover for a couple of seconds, and they then have to recharge their power for like 15 to 20 seconds. So if you know how to spin, or if you have Resilience of something, you can actually make them miss an attack and go out of power. Stunning them works the same unless they're running a specific mixtape as an addon.

A lot of Legions will enter frenzy to inflict a status effect on you (like Oblivious) before canceling frenzy to target you, so that they can get a bit more power in chase.

But yeah Legion can be a kind of "hot potato" situation where either you manage to take them out of power but he'll target you, or you take a hit and they're (most times) off your back for a while. So either you're injured or you're in chase.

Thankfully (or rather, unfortunately for me because I'm a Legion main), other than finding and injuring survivors, Legion is pretty whatever for the rest of the chase. They dosn't have any particular help during chase, just a regular m1. (This is why a lot of them run addons that inflict status effects from frenzy hits and then cancel into a chase, so that they can counter Windows of Opportunity for example).

    sigh I love this killer.

As a legion player, it requires co ordination, in my games with legion where I've struggled the team has split pretty wide and baited me into bad chases,it is pretty map dependent. Healing is kinda hard against legion but having a couple of COH boons up makes it a lot easier.

You do need a couple of star players who can loop the ######### out of the killer for ages. But just lure the legion away and work individually on gens they are not near. 99 those deep wounds while the legion is still frenzying. And play very stealthy if you can. If you have 3 survs on different gens then legion will struggle to patrol them all. Healing methods like renewal, inner strength and haemorrhagic syringes are handy against legion because they bypass sloppy.

Unfortunately legion is amazing at punishing solo q teams if one or two players don't fully understand how feral frenzy works you'll probably get minced.

Also for your aura reading question, legion does have an add on that makes their KI detection range on a frnzy hit absolutely huge.

    spread up

as soon you hear his terror radius, move in the opposite direction.

know roughly the position of your teammates.

dont wait in pallets for a possible stun, only its your last chance to use it as a time waster for legion.

count how many deep wounds states he already got in his circle. only if he already has four you are in imminent danger, or you alone on your map side.

don't be afraid to play with deep wounds, for example you can bless a totem and mend yourself befor the deep wounds puts you into dying state. also as long you are in motion you can run across the whole map for an unhook while in deep wounds.

mending other team member dont end your endurance after unhook.

don't start immediate mending after a frenzy hit, always expect him to turn around. again, distance is your best friend.

    bring COH

I think it is, but I think it’s like a group of people are getting this one and another group is getting this one etc

i don’t know this as fact, but I know when I see a certain daily, during my own matches I’ll see an uptick in people suddenly playing that person

    "Split up"

good luck with that in solo q haha

Spread out, know when to heal, run in the opposite direction of your team when he's in frenzy, chose your gens carefully(if you can) so that you have a decent tile next to you if you are injured

Stop healing against him. Push gens while injured. Split up on gens. He can't down you with his power, and if you heal he gets an instant health state AND deep wound every single time he sees you. He's one of those killers that people should have no trouble beating, but they do.

From a quick breeze through the thread it seems like something isnt made clear

When Legion uses their power, (Feral Frenzy) and successfully hits a Survivor, they gain Killer Instinct on every other Survivor within their Terror Radius not suffering from Deep Wounds. Killer Instinct reveals the location of Survivors, so when paired with being able to easily get a Survivor injured it makes it very difficult to hide against Legion and isnt worth doing more often than not.

With that being said, pretty much every tip given here is fantastic. Hope I cleared up a few things <3

On top of this for those who don't know, lockers do not hide killer instinct like they do your aura, paired with legion having iron maiden as one of their personal perks. Stay tf away from lockers lol
